Dog is sick, wife is in surgery, mind is gone.

Mulligan had the runs for a day, kept us up all Sunday night/ Monady morning, then threw up at 5:00 AM. Vet ($400) says it is a bacterial overgrowth, prescribed flagyl. He's doing better.

Joan is having her wrist operated on as I type this.

Dad wants a birthday party event, he's picked Saturday night and Sunday on NEOESR Picnic weekend.

I've lost my mind.

OTOH, I met Eliot today in the waiting room.

Mulligan - I hope the boy is going to continue to do better! And you need to move to a cheaper part of the world...$400 for that?? egads.

Joan - what's getting done to the wrist? is it a day surgery? Best wishes that it is successful and as painfree as possible! :D

Dad - is that his actual bday? No chance of postponing it to a dog event free weekend? .......Or, how about tell him his party can be at this really swell event you know of??

Eliot - a therapy dog?
I'm so sorry! Perfect example of when it rains, it pours!

Oh, Ron, I am so sorry! Bacterial infections can be nasty. Lucy had one last summer that kept coming back. Mr. Vet said it was the worst he'd ever seen. Poor Mulligan!

Poor Joan. A wrist surgery would be difficult...you just use it so much! I hope she gets better soon.

I agree with combining the birthday party with the event. Yeah, he may not know anyone, but "look Dad, all these people came to your "birthday party!".

Uhm...what does OTOH mean???
Ron, sending all of you hugs.

:ghug: :ghug:

Laurie and Oscar
OTOH is on the other hand........

Eliot?? sounds familiar

Picnic trumps birthday, sorry Dad, catch you tomorrow or next day.

:ghug: for Ron and family :ghug: and a hearty brew
:ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :wag:
Dog is sick, wife is in surgery, mind is gone

It could be worse. For instance: Mind is sick, dog is in surgery, wife is gone.

Always looking for that glass half full kind of thing

Joan will be fine. Mulligan will improve the minute she's home. And your mind will return. Or not. :twitch:

But I'm pretty confident about the first two... :sidestep:

Hang in there.

Although the other one would have been better!
Good news all around!
But I still know nothing about either Eliot.....
But apparently both are known to others!

I remember the strange Jordan Furniture ad's from living in New England. Those guys thought they were the Click and Clack of the sofa world.

Glad everyone is on the mend.

ROTFLMBO

Ron, I'm glad Joan is back home "waving". Mulligan will be fine now that you've proven your love by spending $400.00. As for the mind...mine is with "the other sock"
Glad ALL is well!! :D
Mulligan still well.

Joan had an Addisonian crisis, started to pass out and had nausea, took oral steroids, eventually vomited a bit, but was able to keep enough of the steroids down so I didn't have to inject her. Now she's fine again.

Mind is off wandering on its own...
Whew..Ron, sounds like you are taking nurse duty this week!! What a good guy!! Glad Joan is feeling better and Mulligan's tummy is settling... :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:
I hope all are feeling better today. :ghug:
Ditto that - I hope Mulligan and Joan are BOTH doing better today. :ghug:

Good job, Nurse Ron :high5:
Good to hear Joan and Mulligan are feeling better :clappurple: :clappurple:
Hope things get back to normal for all of you
Glad things are going better Ron.

this made me laugh. I'm sorry you've got so much coming down on you right now, Ron. But Kristine makes a good point- at least all will be well, in time!
:hearts: :ghug: :hearts:
Glad things are settling down for you. It is really hard to have those you love hurting or sick.
Ron Glad things are on a uphill swing!!! My thoughts are with you. I often wondered where my mind went I bet they are all looking ,from where ever they are, laughing at us !!!!
I hope that everyone is on the mend and that Nurse Ron will get a break soon. Hmm, Ron in a nurse's uniform. I picture one of those bright red ones, with the happy ducks on them. Or perhaps happy cows or chickens. :cow:
Ron, I keep telling you I'll give you a piece of my mind!

On a serious note - I'm glad to hear things are back to a semi-normal state for you. Belly rubs to Mulligan and hugs for Joan. A beer for you.
