Thanks for the birthday wishes! Yep, my girl is still going and still my crazy Annie Bananie! I can't believe that a sheepdog this old still doesn't appear to have problems with her hips. I really is her one knee that gives her trouble getting up from lying down and walking down stairs. She's also partially deaf but I swear lately she is hearing or feeling more vibrations. Really, she's still the same just even more demanding than she used to be for her food. She used to just pester, but now she does her high pitched whine bark which just drives us nuts. She is also mostly kept on our lower level which isn't a basement but access to garage, laundry room, tv room. It's not our primary family room but we are certainly down here enough that I don't feel guilty. I sometimes do when she can no longer participate in our kitchen and tv watching but it's better for everyone including her. This way, her stair activity is negligent. She does do that whine bark for us because I do feel that she's lonely, but it's what we need to do. I can't believe she's even still fast enough to get at Fozzie...either that or Foz is just slow  My son, Evan, is now 2 and he knows how to navigate her ways. He gets slippers for Annie to put in her mouth so she won't nibble him. We still always need to be very cautious and mindful. I can't believe Annie's awful whine doesn't even wake him up. Thank goodness! |
