So how do I turn my sheepie into $$?

Well, we just ordered central air conditioning... for Mady of course. So besides all the food, treats, toys, grooming tools, crates, vet fees, vet insurance, agility lessons, herding lessons, a new car, and sheepie-themed road trips across the continent , I can now add the expense of installing central air conditioning. :twitch:

So... my question is, how can I get Mady to start chipping in to the family finances? :lmt:

Initial cost for Mady: undisclosed
Veterinarian expenses and insurance: $2000
Food and treats: $60/month
Grooming equipment and crates: $600
Agility and herding lessons: $80/week
A new (turbo) car: $35,000
Central Air: $3000
Sheepie-themed road trip: to be determined
Daily Sheepie-cuddles and kisses: Priceless

I love my adorable sweet and very spoiled baby girl :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

I know of one way...sort of  ...Start a dog-related business, and make her your mascot and poster-dog! :D that way...she's tax deductible! Seriously, I have friends who write off their dogs by involving them in their advertising for homemade dog treats, hand sewn dog jackets, etc . Although my dogs "shill" for me at art fairs, my accountant says that's not enough to make them a deduction...bummer!
I live in the "Hollywood of the East"
Believe you me I check Craigs List often for ads needing "shaggy dogs"
Of course the bad part is, mine are typically cut short so, that wouldn't work! :lmt:
Note to self...keep at least one in a fuller coat!

I went to a beauty shop one time to get a bottle of whitener for the dogs...
I asked for the biggest bottle of blue shampoo they had!
I am sure the very pretty, neat looking lady was thinking...
"Might wanna consider something for your hair"
She was kind and didn't even do the :cow: :cow:
No way would I spend 20 bucks for shampoo for my hair!

I agree though they are priceless!
A modeling career. It's really the only way to earn the kind of $$$ it's going to take to keep her in the luxury to which she has become accustomed

Just be happy that you have a great furfriend who allows you to bestow gifts and treasures on her..because...we ALL know...

SHE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:aww: :aww: :aww: :aww: :aww: :hearts: :hearts: :aww: :aww:
they have no hidden assets, i've looked for their checkbooks, trust funds and offshore accts., well actually just teasing my children.
all their assets are out in in the open to love on. :high5: :hearts:
Well, you could teach her to drive the (turbo) car....
I always joked that our ThePas needed to get himself a tin cup and a sign (NEED MONEY FOR VET BILLS), and he could set himself up at a busy downtown intersection. I bet he'd have done better than the panhandlers who usually set up there.
Well, Chewie did make $50 in winnings at a weight pull :cow:

Yes we did - thanks for that reminder!! :cheer: :cheer:
Nice rosettes and cash prizes, that makes my day!!
My youngest son always thought that we should collect the hair we brushed off of Merlin and use it to spin into yarn and make sweaters and hats and mittens and sell them. By 'we' he meant 'me' and not him. He was young then and really didn't think about the wonderful scent of wet dog that would fill the air if any of those lovely articles of clothing got wet.

I opted not to do that, leaving the niche pretty wide open if you're interested!
I really think it's very unfair to expect Mady to contribute to her keep. She gives you all the love you could want and that's all she should need to give, the rest is just icing on the cake.
Be sure to talk with an accountant when deciding on a business.
Bumble has a "business" but he himself and his expenses are not
tax deductible... we won't get into his expenses.
see it could be worse as jaci ^^^^^^ :sidestep:
now you have all that what is one more :sidestep: :sidestep: :sidestep:

Whenever I add up the cost of my two, I thank God that I don't play golf! Many hobbies cost a lot more and only yield frustration (thousands on fishing eqpt and no fish to show for it!) Sheepies kisses are worth every penny.

True! Sheepie ownership costs a lot and yields lots of love (to go along with the frustration!).
