Ooooh... what a cute boy :D
He's only 40 pounds so he's a nice compact size!

If we lived in/near texas, I would totally adopt him :hearts:

We have our ways
^^^I was just going to say that! Where do you live? I'm open for a road trip!
You two are sooo accommodating!!
Oh boy, Chowder needs a brother

Texas is a bit far from here, but, he is small and cute! Dahlia is only 4 months old and already bigger then this cutie.
We're in NJ. Kind of the middle.

If he could get here I would have to have a SERIOUS talk first with the fam. Chowder would LOVE a friend! but I'm not 100% positive her daddy would want one.

Dahle is over 40lbs? Already! Yikes. Can't wait to meet her
Showed Buddy to Chowder's daddy and he says "I wish we could got to Texas and get him!"
I'm not surprised, I love his description:

Buddy realizes he is the cutest dog ever! He realizes it so much that he feels like the entire world deserves to meet him... Buddy is a total sweet pea. He loves all people, especially kiddos, and all other dogs.

I would snatch him up too!

Does that mean we need to work on a transport?
I haven't filled out an application yet.

Does anyone here on the forum know the rescue group? I fear if I fill it out and put in that I live in NJ they will just ignore the app. We also don't have a fence just take LONG walks all day and go the park and camp.

Let me know what to do so I can try and get him.

Should I worry that he won't get along with my OES. Mine girl likes EVREYONE and everything but what if he gets all the way up here and he doesn't like her.

So many questions. ANy help would be great!
I live in North Texas. I cant have another dog though, DH and HOA say 3 is enough. But maybe I can help with part of a transport.

I am not familiar with the group but, it does say if you have any more questions you can call!
So, I Would give them a call and ask if them!
:clappurple: :clappurple: :crossed: :crossed:
Arielle, I would definitely give them a ring and talk to them! Hopefully, with enough help across the country, you can get that little boy to NJ!!! And, then I get to meet him

If Dahlia was a wee bit older, then I would also consider it... We will definitely have a sibling for her someday, but, she is still too young in my mind.
I don't know them either, but I agree to call them! If you already have a sheepie you're leaps and bounds above most.
Wow, does this guy sound and look like Philo and Phillip. He's the same age, I wonder if one of their litter made it to Texas. If he's related to Phil & Phi, nobody will regret adopting him.
Dripping Springs is in the Austin area, south central Texas. Im in North Texas. I could meet someone in Ft Worth then take him towards Arkansas. ORRRRRRR if your going to ST Louis maybe I can meet up with someone going there. Just a thought.... :lmt:

I am also sure that the family that adopted our little Lucy Lou that live in Arkansas would help transport!!
I think he is quite cute :D

Nice size and all too!

I vote for at least calling and asking - the very worst they are going to do is say no to an out of state adoption. And no way to know until you ask! :crossed: :crossed:
Any news??
We were busy all day today. I plan to call tomorrow and inwill update

I jut wantto thank all those that are offering help!! This forum has been amazing the entire year we've had chowder
I want to thank everyone again for their offer to help out. We didn't get a hold of anyone today but decided not to pursue it any further. While walking Chowder, we came across a dog she hasn't met yet and although she sits and waits for the other dog to approach her, as trained, she gets SO excited and bouncy(only 15 months old). Many dogs don't like that so we are going to try and adopt closer, where she can meet the dog first. Especially before inconveniencing So many people.

Again, thank you all :ghug:

On a side note, after making this decision :? we put in an application for this guy, not a sheepie but super cute. http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/19352858

That is probably the best plan to make sure it works out!

I know that BCCA Rescue was looking into the dog you posted the link to.
I can ask and see if they have any more info on her.
Good Luck :crossed:

That would be amazing if you could do that. We are looking for a sheepie rescue but they aren't so common around New Jersey so we've done tons of research the last few months and the bearded collie seems awesome.
And Acre, the dog posted, looks to be nice and large which we want.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Just a hint I was given when I had a Beardie foster
"They don't call em Bouncing Beardies for nothing"
