Rescuing..... a rooster!

There's a GORGEOUS rooster at an open admission shelter in Chicago. Does anyone in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana or Michigan have a farm that could use a pretty rescue rooster?

I want him!
I love the rooster call, even at 3 a.m. Fortunately neighbors have a few.

On the other hand, I don't care for the flying spurs of the rooster when you come into their pen. I even had toms try to attack me in this way.......always carry a large stick when arround a fully mature tom turkey. (and boy are they delicious out of the oven!)
I'll drive him to Canada!

Obviously though we are looking for a home that does not intend on killing and/or eating him.
Is he nice? (as in behaved)
We could use a new rooster, but he can't be aggressive.
We have the little grandkids here everyday...roosters who attack are no longer here. :(
I'll find out!
