How wonderful for you! I know you will give this new arrival all the love
and attention she could ask for.
As for the yellowing, I am no expert, however... whenever I have had
any yellowing at all I have just used a human shampoo called silver fox.
I think it is made for the ladies of grey and silver hair. I have always had
great luck with it, and it is very gentle. There is also a rinse that many use
for the same effect - but you need to only use a small amount or dilute it,
this is also for the older lady crowd. I have to check on the name, but it
comes in a plastic squirt bottle with a pink cap. It is not permanent, and
if used correctly does not produce the "blue haired lady" look. It is a
rinse only, no suds to it, not really conditioning either. Not too expensive either. I used both these on my Samoyed with great results, and no
residue left behind. Let me check on the name of the rinse.... I'll get back to you.

:clappurple: Awesome!!! Thanks for caring so much!!!

I've heard something about cornstarch around the forum, but I cannot remember what exactly... For those trickey questions about grooming, maybe Carl Lindon has an answer.

Good luck with your new sheepie, you're going to have a lot of fun!
Congrats, Bob's Mum! :clappurple: What a grand time you will have with two of God's greatest creatures. Looking forward to many stories and lots of pics!

That's great! Have lots of fun with the two of them and don't forget to give Bob extra tummy rubs!
just back from vets she fine just needs ear drops and food i can buy from them so very pleased its such a shame for her she is a lovely girl fantastic temperment ,but she has half a stub for a tail looks like someone tryed to dock them selfs can you belive they were going to breed from her as soon as she has her season poor baby our vet said as soon as she has her first season couple of weeks later she can be spayed :D and bobs having plenty of belly rubs and loving having a playmate
Hey Congratulations!!!! Two sheepies, what a wonderful thing!!! Good luck with the ear thing. Tasker has the same thing and it has been an ongoing headache for YEARS. I have never found a food that solved the problem so we finally just settled for the one that seemed to work the best. But we still deal with the ear infections constantly, but only in one ear. I use drops and clean his ears regualrly. I've learned to "smell one" coming on.

Enjoy your new pup!!
Congratulations!! Glad to hear things are going well with her and Bob. :)
Hi Bob and Missie's mom,

What a great story and I can't wait to hear about Bob's adventures with his new sibling.

Regarding your question, Panda my former rescue has always had somewhat of a yellowish tinge to his hair. (I'm going to post pics of the two of them side by side in a few days) The difference in hair color and texture between Panda and Merlin is quite remarkable. Perhaps genetics or his diet as a young pup..not sure?

The product I found which had amazing result is by Hartz, Whiterner Shampoo which claims to reduce discoloration for light colored breeds. Ironically the product is blue but don't dispair when you bathe them with it! It does make their hair really white!

Sadly this is still one of the biggest issues with Panda and ear cleaning (which he needs to be sedated for) so I don't do it as often as I'd like. Even if it takes a couple of years..it's a goal which eventually I hope to be able to do on a regular basis without him getting so stressed.

Good Luck with Missie!

hi marianne thanks for the advice there is a difference in texture in bobs and missies coat i was wondering if its down to gentics cos there is only 10 days age difference between them i will post some pics in a few days bob still getting use to having another dog nipping on his ears am sure they will have great fun when bob relise he,s a dog and not a child   he,s never really had another dog to play with and loves playing with children so i think its going to be a bit of a shock but they are settleing down well togeather :D
