Ok, I'll cut right to the chase...Nola was very bad last night...she broke into her dog food then threw it up all over the house!!! All night she was drinking water then throwing it back up again! WHAT A MESS!!! This morning Joseph noticed her stomach was hard...she didn't want to move or anything! He's taking her into the ER...but I'm concerned. HELP!!!!

Sounds like bloat.....she needs to get to the vet immediately.

I had this happen with a malamute we owned many years ago. Same thing....ate through a bag of food. Luckily we returned home in time and was able to get her to the emergency clinic in time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Nola. Let us know how she is doing.

:ghug:
I am so sorry. Hope it is nothing serious. Please keep us updated.
Hubby took her to the emergency vet. They're doing x-rays now.
:ghug: I hope Nola's OK :ghug:

:crossed: :crossed: :crossed: :crossed:
any news yet hoping all is ok
I'm so sorry !
Hope she's ok ! :ghug: :crossed: :crossed: :crossed: :crossed:
I hope Nola will be ok. :plead:

Back in 11/2006, Panda got into a bag of kibble we had left in the
shop. We were plain lucky to have caught it in time when I noticed
she looked fat. We rushed her to the vet too. The receptionist told
me dogs eating kibble like this can be very dangerous.

I had this happen as well. Two of them. Shared a bag of kibble. Stomachs were extended and hard as rocks. Rushed them to the vet in a panic but no bloat, just piggies who were incredibly aromatic for the next couple days. Absolutely the right thing to do to rush her to the vet, but not all who overeat inevitably suffer dire consequences. Except owner who has to live through aroma. They didn't even have the decency to develop diahrrrea. Just business as usual (though I fasted them a little bit after that...hm)

Fingers crossed that's all it is with Nola too :crossed:

Hoping Nola is ok! :crossed:
Panda never got diarrhea either and the x-ray showed food throughout her entire
digestive tract. We didn't discover the source of the problem until we got home...
Any News Yet???

I'm worried sick here!!!
I keep checking to see if there is news. I hope it is all going well. :crossed:
I keep checking back too. Here's hoping for good news soon. We went through bloat with our Portage years ago, and as horrible and scary as it was, getting him straight to the vet saved his life. It was a very long and very difficult night, but the end result was good.

We are all sitting here thinking good thoughts for Nola, with fingers and paws firmly crossed. Let us know how she's doing when you can.

Take care.
Just checking in!
Hope Nola is ok :crossed: :crossed:

My Kissy Grrlll go into cat food once and did ok after a few days but,
it was scary with the protein in cat food being so high.
I hope things are going ok with Nola. :crossed:
Just seeing this post. Hope all is ok with Nola.

   I checked and rechecked too!! Glad she is OK!!!!
I am just checking n now and glad I didn't earlier or I would have been crazy for the results! Glad to hear Nola is okay :cheer: :cheer:

Yes, I would imagine eating ALOT of kibble would make a dog's stomach hard since kibble increases in size once its eaten. I think it blows up like triple :cow:

You might want to try feeding her a smaller meal twice a day and soaking it a few minutes....But if I rember the original post, she found the food stash herself and ate out of the bag!

Glad she is okay and home!!!! :phew:
What a relief :phew:
So glad she's ok !! :cheer:

YAY Nola, so glad to hear your precious is OK, was real worried after her snack attack and guzzling water it was a bloat situation that could of happened easily, hugs for your baby. Here is a link for bloat symtoms, I hope every one is aware that it CAN happen and keep this link for future reference if your fur babies seem out of whack.
