The price of GAS (fuel)

I drive an SUV and even I have to admit it goes through a lot of gas.

Yesterday I HAD to get gas as it was below E, I was worried that I would even make it to the station. I have never let it get that low.

I'm not sure how big the tank is but yesterday it took 17.85 gal. of gas to fill it up. Now I need a second job 8O 8O 8O

Grand total:$69.61, I didn't top it off or I would have been past $70

Oh I hear ya Pam.
I drive a large suv and it cost 90.00 to fill it up the other day. If it were me paying I'd stop at 50.00 no matter what, but since Troy was buying

I work in the car business and everyone is always telling me to get a small car. I still love my suv.
Broke or not.

got you guys beat i got an suv then a van for my shows this week i spent over 200. to fill them both up no cookies for the boys tonite _______-ya right
It's high here in Kansas City too. Not as high as it was in Chicago this week though. I was there on business and saw it was already OVER $4.00/gallon. YIKES! Thank heavens we have a diesel!
I have a 26 gal. tank on my van :( I try not to let it get on empty. I know in the long run I am buying the same amount of gas but it is just the sticker shock. Almost $97.00 to fill it up at today's price. On the bright side, I do get pretty decent gas milage.
Here in Welland.....$1.31/litre!! $100 to fill my Grand Caravan. I read in our local paper we can expect it to rise to $1.50+ per litre this summer. How do they possibly justify this?

This is going to affect so many things. I know I do not travel to the long distance shows like I used to, and entries have been down.
it's 1.27/liter here....

For Amber's, the conversion works out to 4.97 a gallon in case anyone was wondering.
I do feel for you guys. Honest.

I drive a nice, twenty year old, four cylinder car. For the longest time it took twenty five to fill it up, but since gas has gone up it's now thirty eight to forty, which is enough to make me miserable. However, I have to keep it in perspective. I don't have much of a drive to work, and I don't drive much otherwise, so that's my gas for the month.

I guess I should stop complaining that my car that's been paid for for seventeen years, and hasn't really cost me anything in repairs or maintenance (knock wood) costs me almost forty dollars a month to run! :P

Sorry, I guess there was a little snarking in there.
This fuel scam is disgusting!!

My company furnishes my car and I can choose anything I want. They are really pushing me to get a new car but I am standing firm and keeping the one that I have right now. It is a diesel and although diesel fuel is more than gas right now--I do get 42 miles to the gallon! They are trying to push me to get an Escalade--at 17 miles a gallon--I DON'T THINK SO!!
It was shocking enough that it was $70.00 to fill it up the other day--at least I can go more miles!!
It's dear everywhere, love when a crisis in the middle east or elsewhere makes a good reason for the price to go up within hours by the oil companies, but when the price for a barrel drops takes weeks for the price to reduce at the pump  .

At the moment here over $1.40 a litre, Oh and school term holidays with easter break to follow soon, funny how it all seems to rise around holiday time, knowing motorists are needing to fill up to vacation.
