Vent: The UPS tracking website is lies

I order Bob the Wonder Pony's supplements from SmartPak, which is a great company to do business with. I ordered his supplements March 14 and still haven't received them. SmartPak always sends an e-mail with the UPS tracking number. According to the UPS website, my package has been on the truck since Friday. Hmmm. I just talked to the UPS man who has nothing on his truck for me. I called the UPS service center and was told they have no physical scan of the package. I asked "why is there a tracking history on your website and why has my package been on the truck since Friday?" Well, basically the shipper put the information in but the package was never picked up, so the package that isn't in the system is just bouncing around the ethernet and since it wasn't delivered, the system just keeps saying it will be delivered the next day. So, I sez, the information is wrong. Yes. No ap[ologies, just "well, it was never picked up but we'll give you a whole history of where it's been and what time it was checked in the different centers around the country." WTF???? They are checking in a package that they don't have????

I called SmartPak who is sending me another shipment and will deal with UPS.

Why the he!! does UPS give me information that is not only wrong, but DOESN'T EXIST??? Thank God SmartPak has the best customer service (they also sell small animal supplements and other equipment).

I've never had aproblem with UPS, but it takes only one bad experience.....

Sorry about your experience with UPS. Smartpak is a nice group and I hope your
new package arrives safely. If you are visiting in the Boston area , they have an outlet
store you can run around wild in.

That said, I only use UPS here. The service has been great.
Its on time and the tracking has been spot on. my grade= A plus here

Fedex, a whole other story. My package was "lost in space", fedex had no clue
where it was, but that it had been picked up.
National staff helpful. Local staff a disaster. Twice I was told they would
deliver it "today". In the Fedex world, that is 4 days later whenever they get around to it.
But, at least I had the package, and spared some other customer
a 600 page nursing book as a doorstop. my grade= D minus

Most importantly, :ghug: to Bob the Wonder Pony!
Oh, the story is even better this morning. Just for chuckles, I checked the status of my package on the UPS website. They claim they delivered it yesterday. To a person who has a different last name. It is not my neighbors. So the package they never picked up, yet checked in at 5 centers between Illinois and Massachusetts, has been delivered.

Fortunately SmartPak is all over this and is sending me new stuff this morning.
Wow. UPS has always been spot on for me. FedEX also. Let's not talk about USPS......
I'd rather pay the extra charge to have UPS or FedEX deliver rather than USPS.
the lying about delivery NEEDS to be reported and followed up on.....which I am sure you already are doing!!

I have equal (good) luck with UPS, USPS, FedEx, and a couple other carriers. I hope I haven't cursed myself :plead:
This is making me crazy. I cannot let this go. I called UPS and they gave me a delivery address that is not even in my town! They said they are putting a tracer on the package and it could take 8 business day. I point blank asked the customer service person "how can a package that you never even picked up be delivered?" She had no answer.

At this point all I want UPS to do is say "we were wrong." I'm glad I'm seeing my therapist tonight cuz I'm getting nutz with this! :excited: <== this is me nutty

I wonder if what happened is that the package got assigned to a container and since it never came off of the container it gets reported as visiting all of these distribution centers as that container goes about its daily life. You should have just watched it, and maybe started a website called "Where's Yoopy" !!! Pics of garden gnomes in each city, fun facts, visits to tourist sites...

Happy nut! :D :D :D
Because you are all DYING to know the status of Bob's supplements......SmartPak shipped replacements on Wednesday. According to the UPS website, the package has been scanned through the Palatine center, which is the official center for this area. Dave at UPS told me that if the package goes through Palatine, then it does exist and will be delivered. Should be on my doorstep tonight. Hmmmmm.... :lmt:
:crossed: :crossed:

Fingers crossed for the arrival of Bob's supplements :high5:
Good luck with that Paula!!!

I bet it WILL be there today :clappurple: :clappurple:
