Pet fair today!

We went to get Momo and the kitties microchipped today and the lady who went with us has two big dogs of her own. :D This big sweet mutt she has is really great - she says she thinks it is part bulldog (his face looks like it she thinks) and this other big boy. The bulldog mix loves playing with Momo even though he is 8X her size. He was very gentle but wanted her to know who was the big man on campus. We are going to start hanging out with this woman and her husband - and set up play dates with our dogs. :D Brad works with her btw. :P

I tried to make sure I kept away from other dogs besides hers though - since Momo isn't completely vacinated we wanted to make sure we didn't let any dogs around her that weren't or we didn't know.

The event today was great - her dogs got their shots for $5! I wish that Momo was old enough... it would be a great discount! :(

But we did get all our pets microchipped for $30 bucks and you can't beat that. :D

The only complaint I had for the day was some joker decided to let their huge 90 lb dog JUMP on me while I was carrying the cat carrier... and nearly knocking it out of my hands! He didn't even say he was sorry... more like... "What's in the box?" "My cats." "Why did you bring them?" I was soooooo MAD! This WAS a pet convention after all... not a dog show... jeeze...

I was also getting pretty sick of the morons who kept wondering after they praised my dog for her beauty - what I had in the crate? Perhaphs another dog - let's see! Nope - ew! cats! With a look of distaste. They can stick their comments about Momo then - my kittens are just as precious to me as my puppy is. As an animal lover I've never understood people who also claim to love any kind of animal, would have a distaste with other people's pets.

I've not had a dog in forever and at one point didn't believe I would ever get one - but that didn't mean I would tell someone their dog was nasty or horrible.

But there were people who loved my kitties too - and I was happy with them. :D They are my little pweciouses!

But today was great - and that hardly ruined my day. The dogs were having fun - the kitties were... wow... but it was a good day. I think next time I'll just bring Momo though. I felt bad for Hali and Kiley in the hot sun. If I bring them into public next time it will be in an air conditioned room and they can pick out their scratchers. :D I can't wait to be able to bring Momo out so she can socialize with other dogs - I think it will be good for her.
