Starting a New Training Class

I am so excited! We are starting a new training class on Wednesday evening. It is held at a local indoor dog park. What I am most excited about is that this is all off-leash training (of course in a fully enclosed area). The classes are very small, only 5 dogs per session (Oliver and Lucy make up 2). Our trainer does specialized sessions, so our first lessons will focus on reinforcing the basics; sit, stay, come. After the first class we will be able to pick and choose what we want to focus on.

The trainer sounds really neat. He volunteers at shelters to train dogs to make them more adoptable. I am hopeful with this experience he will be able to give us some pointers to help Lucy come further out of her shell.

Wish us luck! We may need it! The off-leash training will be a new experience for us!

That sounds fun - please update us!
An indoor dog park....WOW!!!! We would love one of those in our area. Have fun at the class.
Do they start the dogs off leash right away?
Fun!! I hope that it goes well. :cheer:
Have fun and Good luck!
It always takes Tiggy a few classes to settle in to a new venue and new dogs so take it one step at a time.

We do introductions on leashes, but then yes, off the leashes go. There are quite a few stipulations that must be met in order for you dog to be eligible for his classes though.
This sounds great! Can't wait to hear how things go tonight.

Have fun!
