Dancer And The New Vacuum

This is somewhat difficult to type as I have a 60 lb lap-sheepie crawling all over me and giving kisses....
*Ok Sky, get off now!* LOL
I got a new vacuum, and it is one of those hoover upright bagless wind tunnel thingies. My last one was a cannister vacuum. It *bit the dust*
Anyway, Dancer has decided she doesn't like it. It is just sitting in the corner of my office here, innocent, and she is trying to drag it away. She grabs the bottom, pulls a bit, then when it moves, she lets go and runs. Then she creeps back closer to it, grabs it and pulls again, and runs. LOL This is too funny. She's not growling or barking at it, she just doesn't seem to think it belongs here.

Hey Ma!?!?!
Who is this noisy new sibling?
Another "Upright"? I thought you and Dad were done with that since I've been here?!?!?
How are you liking your new Hoover? Jack and Annabelle will lay as long as they can if front of our vacuum, but they will eventually move a few feet, turn a few circles, and lay down in a place that still needs to be finished. I think I vacuum so much, that all the animals, (with the exception of the 2 new arrivals), just lay there. I accidently got Blazer's tail with it. *looks innocent", and says, "I really thought he would move." LOL Now, I put them in another room when I vacuum so they don't attack me while I am doing it or just lay there acting as if they are oblivious to the huge purple thing coming their way.
That is funny about Dancer, she is making sure that thing is safe!!
While we were painting the back of the house, we left our ladders and buckets outside, when it got dark Annabelle and Jack would bark, and when I would tell them no speak, they would do a low growl instead. They were fine after they went out and inspected, but if they forgot again, it was back to square one.
So, Sky is a mud puppy AND lap puppy....LOL That can be a messy situation. Give Sky and Dancer hugs!! We also need more pics after Diane gets done with the show clipping of Sky!!

Hugs,
Stormi and co.
Clyde's a classic barker and chaser, but he just picked that habit up. He gets right in front of it and doesn't let me go anywhere. Goofball!
Now if we could only teach them how to use it.....
No kidding! I feel like both the dogs should start becoming more responsible and pitching in. I feel like they make the majority of the mess anyway. I'm going to have a talk with them.
Rosco helps me alot. Whenever someone throws up he runs over and eats it :D , that way I don't have to pick it up, he's such a good boy!
Yeah, I probably shouldn't complain either. Clyde has been getting a few hours in the morning unsupervised and this morning, he pooped and decided to eat it so I wouldn't have to worry about cleaning it when I got up. So he came upstairs to wake me up and let me know what he'd done by breathing his feces-laden breath on me. Good morning Clyde
Clyde is a helpful boy too :D

Ewwww... it's so gross when they do that... but then you shrug and think "better you than me" I must admit I leave it for them to clean up... unless neither shows any indication of doing the job, then of course, out come the paper towels and lysol.
More memories of days gone by... Mr. Winston would eat whatever came out either end.
Same with Kayli and I do the same thing as Willowsprite. There, I admitted it.

I pretty much count on Rosco, that stuff is so gross :D
We called it "recycling".

Luckily, Maggie has better manners.
Rosco has always been a little pig, that way he gets to eat food for 4 dogs :D
Sam has this thing with my canister vacuum. She loves it...I thought if I took off the brush attachment and 'vacuuming" her, she would stop attacking it. Not! She just gets more excited. I often need to put her outside when I vacuum.
About the poopie stuff, Sam likes bird poop  .
Be careful with bird poop, birds carry giardia. Take it from one who has been there, you don't want your dog getting it.
Back to the vacuum issue - Drez has always HATED the vacuum. As soon as she sees me coming in the room with it, she leaves. If I get too close to her, she shows her teeth, barks at it and tries to bite it! Haven't been able to figure out why, have just grown to accept it.

Same thing with the hair dryer - she high-tails it if I point it as her when I'm using it in the morning. Needless to say, I can't dry her after a bath. I just have to towel dry her as best as I can and let nature do the rest. Geesh!!

Chris
My dogs like the leaf blower. Because we back up to wetlands we have mountains of leaves they love to run in. They also love the leaf blower on them, we just do it on their sides. My husband stands in the yard and they run past so it blows on them...it's become quite a game :D and quite a big mess :D
In regards to the vacuums, I have an Oreck that I HATE! Has anyone used the Dyson for animals? I heard it's good but hesitate to spend more money for a vacuum that is just okay.
Beau is like Dancer -he doesn't like the vacuum either. He really doesn't like things being out of place either. I guess that's part of his herding instinct. When they were putting the floors down last week and all the furniture was moved around, he was very unhappy. He kept barking at the sofa like he was mad that it was in the dining room. Too funny!

As for vacuums...seems like someone recently mentioned getting the Dyson in another thread and loving it...I'll see if I can find it and link it.
I think it was stormi that posted it... Yup, here it is:

Yep - that's it! Thanks ButtersStotch!! :D
Yes Dancer is very orderly too, li,es things where they belong, it's so funny, and if she got that much of an "organized" personality I just wish she had opposable digits and could help out with the housework! LOL
