Mom, the bed.....

In the evening the dogs are indoors with us; three are in the living room surrounding us and the fourth, Harry, sneaks back to DH's bed to sleep. Normally that's MO's spot and she defends her bed! Well this evening Harry wouldn't settle, he'd stand at the step into the living room and look at me then walk away. I ignored him. Finally he came up to me, stepping over Glacier (always a risky move) and grunted and "yawn whined." Very unlike this independent boy. Thinking he needed to go outside I walked to the door only to have him turn down the hall. He got to DH's bedroom, looked in and turned his head towards me......"what the ????" I had forgotten I removed the sheets to wash them and hand't remade the bed. How is a guy to sleep when the bed is unmade??? He watched as I quickly gathered the sheets, remade the bed where upon he climbed up, circled, grunted and laid down.

That sounds a lot like Simon. He has a bed routine, all cast in stone.
You can so tell he didn't grow up here......
Harry is considering moving to a pet motel where the room service is up to standard.

Oh this made me giggle. Such a great communicator, he has you well trained-I love it!!
:clappurple: And some people think dogs can't communicate. :clappurple:

Oscar is ALL about the routine.

Nope he knows he has it made. Sleep on the big bed from 7-10 p.m. Outside for "last call" in for a cookie and then pester Mom to help him onto her bed (it's too tall for him). While I read and fall asleep in the recliner, he stretches out. When it's time for me to move to the bed, I have no room! Often I'm scrunched sideways at the foot of the bed with the comforter thrown over me for warmth.

His saving grace is somewhere along the way he moves around and either goes back to back with me or  spoons. He's a great for cold winter nights. However the spoon position often means if I wake up, there's a nose next to my cheek and the tongue automatically activates and night cream disappears.
^^^^^^^
   Well I've heard that sheepie spit is good for the complexion.
Yeah, kinda plasters the wrinkles back

Harry particularly loves to lick any lotion off me :x
what he didn't wait for the doggy treat on the pillow and for the covers to be turned down :?: that was one really tired pupper.
That'll be the day
