Will they be showing the breed judging live online? I saw it is in Ring 3 at 2:20 this afternoon, but wasn't sure where the video would be found....if I can even watch it from here. Sometimes videos are blocked by firewall.
Anyone know when the herding group will be on?
I tried to find a listing of the OES group..does anyone know where it can be??? Can't wait to see!!!!

GOOD LUCK !!!!!! :yay: :yay:   :yay: :yay:

Sorry

Nope, no me, no Mandy and Suzi.

Nothing happened to me and Owen, Tammy (we're fine!). James had a major car accident, I've been getting nonstop cluster headaches and I'm switching medications and then we needed some home repairs that had to attended to immediately so I decided to skip the trip. A few days in NYC will cost me a couple of thousand bucks and it just seemed like a selfish trip to make when we had all this other crap that should come first. Plus, we're getting ready to sell our house and we're hoarders so it also seemed like a good idea to take our vacation week to apply it to what needs to get cleaned up.

Just being a dumb, irresponsible adult.

Boo!

(I hope James is ok!)

Lots of em! I will let them all take their bragging rights!
Congrats to the winners!

And on the first link to the pictures - be sure to go all of the way to the END. I think I would kill the photographer if I ever figured out who it was that took that picture, if it was me.
Allison here- Darth Snuggle. Sorry- I'm typing on my phone from our hotel. Posted some photos on the OES.org facebook page, and literally have 400 to edit and post when I get home. Westminster has been a really amazing time. Congrats to all the participants for getting here, and to the winners for making it even further!
There are also 10 OES photos on the Westminster facebook page - scroll down toward the end.

Oh, nooo. I'm so sorry, Jill. I hadn't heard. Is James doing ok? I saw your
name was mentioned on the list but had no idea all this was happening.

I hope this is accurate...
Every Best of Breed winner needs at least one goofy cousin.
Ch Bugaboo's Georgie Girl and Buck-Buck-Goose (Kobuck )
are cousins... their mom's are sisters.

GCH Deja Blu Deal Me In received an Award of Merit... his dad is Dealer
(Ch Reflection Ace High Straight)... Bumble's grandpa is also Dealer.

Congratulations!!
No, he's fine, Jaci. Only the car was hurt-- and it got hurt really bad! They weren't sure if it could be fixed. But, they saved it so we didn't have to buy a new car and that was what kind of held me back the most. I'd feel terrible blowing a ton of money if we had to cough up enough for a new car.

On the plus side, Owen, in an insane moment, jumped up on the hood of James's car last summer and scratched the hood up bad. James's car is his baby and he was IRATE. So, after I ascertained that he survived the crash, I said "Yay! Now you get the new hood you wanted. Owen will sleep better knowing that!"
:phew: Thank goodness James is ok!

That was a great way release all that fear/stress/anxiety wasn't it!!
<snort> You are so bad!

So I've got to ask this about Westminster...
How are dogs selected to attend? I would think it must be a great honor to even be invited/chosen!
Jill - glad James is okay and you can get the car fixed. :clappurple:
I totally "get" being a responsible adult, even though at times, it royally stinks up our plans.
Hopefully next time, it will work out and you'll get to show at the Garden. What an honor. :D

Congrats to all who were there - especially Georgie Girl & Elvis!

8O 8O I would track them down and make them pay dearly for taking that picture. Oi!!

Lol. You pay your $75. ;)

No, some top ranking dogs are invited and they have priority. All other dogs enter as usual. OES get a pretty large entry so I don't know what happens if it goes way over or what the selection process is. Maybe someday I'll find out!
We're all hoping to see your names
on next year's Westminster list!
If you click on this link, it will take you to the premium list which contains the complete set of rules for entry. See entry rules starting on page 14. Pretty much the bottom line is the Top 5 dogs in each breed are invited. After that, the remaining spots available of the 2500 (which is the limit) are filled on a random basis by the entries that show up on the specified date. I think this year the date was December 3, 2010. Of course your entry has to already be an AKC Breed Champion to be entered in this show. So pretty much it is the luck of the draw if you are lower on the totem pole than #5 in your breed.

awesome pictures (minus that last picture of a chihuahua - poor owner/handler!)

I'm in love with the corded poodle. :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: Jeff loathes poodles but loves the puli - hmm maybe this is a good compromise for our next breed ;) we told ourselves that we will always have one or two sheepie in the family but I'd love to have a standard poodle too.

Then you would have loved Annie the poodle! She was before us on Sunday in the agility trial, and she had the start of cords!! She is white also. :clappurple:
Yeah, I didn't see that last picture, ostensibly about a Chihuahua.

"Photo by TIMOTHY A. CLARY"... nice and wonderful pictures... but that last one was a little bit mean, dude.
Jill, being a grown-up can be such a bummer. Glad to hear that James is fine, and hope your headaches get better.

Oscar is related to a dog that won an Award of Merit - Aryakas Hermes. He and Oscar share a father, so technically, I guess they are half brothers. And they are both Greek! :D

And if I were Timothy A. Clary, I would looking for a place to hide for awhile........................ :sidestep:

Laurie and Oscar
I got to meet Allison yesterday and that was fun :clappurple: :clappurple:
and Cuatro shares the same parents with Elvis.....Hummer and Bette :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
Also got to meet Lori and Jazz, Mary and Apollo, and another littermate of Elvis,Oliver
Merlin's relatives are Bugaboos!!!!! I'll have to dig up his papers and see if it's his materal or paternal line..I haven't looked at them for several years. I do remember seeing the name Bugaboo and Cutswald (sp?)..or something like that in his line.

Jill, I'm so sorry to hear about James. You take care of yourselves and I'm sorry you had to miss the event. Sending you positive thoughts.

Marianne
I was there watching live and met Alison ( DarthSnuggle) from this board. It was very exciting to be there. I might say, walking around the benching area, all the breeders or handlers I met were so super nice and all took time to talk to you. One of my friends who does horse shows was amazed at how personable all the people in the benching area were. :D

Does anyone know what the dates are for next year? I want to put those dates in my vacation request so I can return!

Congratulations to all the winners! And as Allison says, just getting there is an accomplishment so Congratulations to all entered!
whew! I'm finally home-- what a cool experience! I have nearly 300 photos to edit tomorrow. I'll load them up as I finish them. It was great meeting everyone-- next tie we should all plan a lunch or dinner or something! :hearts:
Glad you had a good time, Alison. Can't wait to see your photos. :D
