Respond to this topic here on forum.oes.org
Thanks Val!

I'll have to check it out tonight :D

and what is the room pricing, btw? (not checking the motel site now, just curious)
Under $70 a night. $65ish I think. American dollars, of course!
Reservations made!!  :cheer: :cheer:
Dawn..It depends on if you want a single or double. And yes, Kim is right..both are under $70.00 per night...((thanks Kim!!!))....

We did not reserve a lot of rooms so please try to book early~~.

Obviously, since it is Memorial weekend, the motels right off the highway do get filled fast~ so IF we need to reserve more, we can, as long as they have room!!!!

Yay!!! I can't wait to finally meet Brenda! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I'm sure there will be much better groomers there but I'll bring my shears just in case. 8)

Vonne is planning to be there as well. She may not bring Wild Angel, depending on her health. She's got arthritis pretty bad but we'll see what happens.

I think that we are completely crazy for even thinking of going. It is like driving to Winnipeg for the weekend! But to a foreign country no less, where their money does not have the Queen on it!! I still haven't cleared it with work. It is a bit of a crazy busy time then, so it depends if I can convince them that I can get certain things done so that they won't miss me for a few days.

Is it tricky to bring a dog across the border?
Good question about getting a dog across the border. I have never had a problem. You have to make sure you have up to date vaccinations.

Hey, you guys could always do the first stop over here in Guelph, 6 hrs from Ottawa. We have the extra room. And if Howie & Mady played all night they would sleep great in the car the next day! :clappurple:

I hear you about the arranging with work... we still doing that, but looks promising.

Here is more information.....

I was told the a King bed room is $65.95 plus tax and and two double beds is $67.95 plus tax. That pricing is with up to four people to a room.

Be sure the people making reservations use the link because it has our number on it to get this rate.

Kim~~~ I promise you ...it will be a fun time!!! The first time I saw all the sheepdogs together in the Purina corral~Well...It was so amazing!! And to meet all these wonderful forum members face to face??? Pricelss!!!

I am so glad Vonne is coming!!! Can't wait to see both of you and That gorgeous boy will be with you too????

Peg..so nice of you to offer Kim,David and Mady a comfy night as they are traveling...

Nelson? Ah, Nelson is hanging out in Myrtle Beach right now but should be home by May.
:excited: :excited: Thanks, I'm so excited too. We are up for a caravan if anyone will be traveling 64 west or we could meet up at a reasonable distance, and go from there. If David and Kim will commit, we could meet them in Dayton?? :excited: :excited:

You guys have been teasing with us for months....You have to come. Whats a few sick days?
What is the rough agenda for the weekend? When do activities start?

I want to book our room and figure out days off work.

Thanks!!

Amanda
Hi ya'll. I don't know if we are considered a southern city or northern city (I've been accused of being from both!) but you're welcome here in May for Sheepiepalooza. Being the president of the St. Louis Old English Sheepdog Club I get to foist off all the hard jobs and kept the easy one for myself. Some were asking the price of the Peartree we have reserved for the event and the prices are $65.95 for a king bed and $67.95 for a two double beds with up to four persons per room. That of course does not include tax or anything else the city can squeeze out of you. Hope you all have a good time when you get here, we'll try our darndest to make you comfortable.

Nice to "meet" you Ray!
I hear that everybody that comes has an absolute blast and
that you all do a bang up job of providing FUN!!!!!
WE BOOKED!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot wait to meet all!!!
Reservations Made!!!

But I had to call. I clicked on the address and I couldn't change from non-smoking to smoking.

Now comes the waiting part...I hate that.
Okay Khloe wants to come meet all of you too. We live close so we won't stay at the hotel and won't be able to do all the events. What do you recommend us coming to if we can only do one thing????? I really want to be a part of this. We only live about 30 minutes from St. Louis.
You're only 30 minutes away! I'm sure you'll be able to attend everything! We're a mere 18 hours away...
Kari...I do know that we are having the SheepiePicnic on Sunday..so, that might be a good day to attend.

As the event gets closer, we will have a better idea of each days activities.

Right now the club is concentrating on..
The Barkus Parade which was on Saturday ~~ It was soo fun!! 60,000 people and many, many puppers!!! Our club had a great time!! We had about 9 sheepdogs in attendance and they all had a ball!!!

Next UP????? The St. Patty Day parade in downtown St. Louis on March 12th...

Hmm, you know, I'm almost re-thinking going to Sheepiepalooza... Harry, Heart, and Pearl always look so fantastic. Not that Mady can't compare, sure she can, she's beautiful. BUT *I* can't compare in the dressing them up department! Mady will have a great time, I will feel bad about myself

This reminds me that St. Patrick's day is coming up soon. Unfortunately, we don't have any dog-friendly pubs in Ottawa, if we have an early spring or a bit of a warm spell, we might have some luck with patios. But it's too bad, nothing I'd love more than sitting in a great pub, with Mady (and Kim I guess...) drinking a few pints....

Last St. Patrick's Day...

Okay, the picnic sounds great. I will be checking for more details! I can't wait to see all the beautiful sheepies!!!!
We are booked!!!

The girl I spoke with (I called, as my dates are abit off from the group one) was so nice. She was sad she was going to be on maternity leave when we were there. She said she worked at a nearby hotel (in sight) when we were all there last year and she LOVED seeing our dogs. :D
