Is there a OES weight chart?

We just got a OES puppy (cant have just one) and he is 9 wks old and weights 17lbs. And I'm like wow he is a big boy. I was wondering if there was a weight chart for OES to go by. Just curious and something fun to do. Someone told me to that breeders lie about dob to make them look bigger for their age. I hope this isnt the case with Dallas.

Here is an idea about what you can expect. Every dog grows differently too. Some grow faster some slower.
Not only do they grow at different rates, the breed can vary greatly in size. Granted conformation breeders.......show breeders don't really vary much in size....the dogs, not the breeders  ........but BYB and none conformation breeders do vary. My two current rescue OES range in size from barely 60 for the girl to a long legged boy who has topped out near 120 when his rear leg muscles were better and his tummy a bit too large. Now he's below 100, still a big boy for the breed.

Having had "normal" show dogs and BYBs/rescues.....I actually like the little bitty sheepdogs......they fit the house, the car, and my ability to lift them. If you end up with a bruiser......they are fun as well, but.....man they get in the way!
Our Finn was 8lbs at 8 weeks!
Tiny baby but, is a healthy 75 now at almost 3 years!

I am a little curious as to why you have two more?
Is this not your post from a couple years back, Tammy?

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9605&hilit=tammypat

It sounded as if you did not like the breed??

I am confused as to why you keep up this discussion...how many OES have you had?
(I know of 4 you have rehomed)

I also see you are breeding Mastiffs...

What are you wanting to do?

Why do you keep getting dogs and then, letting them go?
Donner's Mom, thanks for the enlightening information.

Are you not Tammy Patriarca?

Yes, you do know me...we talked when you rehomed Kissy and Shaggy!
You wanted them back after the fact...Should I mention thier health and
temperment?

I didn't take them into our rescue but, knew where they were.
I spoke to you because, all others didn't want to deal with you!

Then, you had another...a family drove from PA to get the dog to
have the door slammed in their face and hear the dog was GONE!
I hope she ended up better off than the breeder you just "sold"
Daizy to!
That being said...you sold your "biter" to a "breeder"

I hope she has the sense that you do not!
No I dont know you or care to know you. I'm not going to go back and forth with you. If you want someone to argue with find someone else. :!:
As far as I can tell, sazzyzena is in fact Tammy.

Thank you Ron! :hearts:
Really sad that you have nothing better to do than worry about what I'm doing. Lol
It's a little flattering but kinda sick on your end. I don't have to justify myself to you or anyone else. I know what's true and what's not. And you don't need "evidence" (lol) that I bred my English Mastiff. Guess what? I will be breeding her again so check my web site from time to time if you really need to know. Until then I have no interest in entertaining you anymore.
Good Day!

I don't think anyone is concerned with you. I think everyone is concerned about your dogs and where they are going to end up since you casually go through dogs like they are nothing. (which is sickening) Especially the fact that you have stated that you do not like old english sheepdogs and in fact were cautioning people to steer clear of the breed.

I also doubt that advertising your back yard bred mastiffs is accepted or allowed on this forum.
If you stay with only one screen name, it will help us to remember who you are.
Are these plus sassyzena you?

Need to find a home for my Mom's OES
Hi I need to find a home for my Mom's Old English Sheepdog. She is 9 months old and has been
well taken care of. We actually took in 2 for my but we have decided to keep one. The one we are
rehoming is nipping our children when they play. We don't have time or the know how on training
her. Everything else is great about her. Very loving, playful, house trained and she walks good on a
leash. We are asking a rehoming fee to cover some expense for my Mom. Please email for more
info or call (the number Ron shared) Thanks

Forum Member's Post
I called the owner and she has had the two OES sisters for two weeks, and is overwhelmed. She
wasn't interested in rescue at this point but wants to recoup some expense. Daisy is on eBay
classifieds in Columbia SC. The owner is also selling English mastiff puppies on eBay classifieds.

And you're absolutely right that you don't have to explain any of this. But this leaves those reading your posts over the years wondering the objective of someone who appeared to loath Old English Sheepdogs yet keeps buying more... then again comes back to OES.org to sell young dogs/puppies.

If you go on to breed OESs (only assuming this based on your recent additions of both a bitch and dog-puppy and that you already breed Mastiffs), I think you'd want buyers to take you seriously and part of this is displaying responsibility/devotion/commitment to the breed. IF these screen names are yours, this flip-flopping of Old English Sheepdogs can't be beneficial to your reputation. But this can change for the better. And you have plenty of time before your bitch/dog are 2 years old (responsible breeding age) to do all the health screening to be sure they're free of hip dysplasia and other conditions. The Old English Sheepdog Club of America is a good place to start in learning more about the breed and responsible breeding practices.

Good luck to you and your Old English Sheepdog puppies.
Speechless! I am sickened by you Tammy. Seriously considering sending photos and Vet statements to police. The condition "Kissy" was in was deplorable. I am just sick knowing you still have animals under your control.
wow, Im pretty new to the forum and dont know all this history but Im sad for whatever animals this lady may have control over. Hope God is watching over them.
I am the forum member who spoke to her about Daizy in December. She did identify herself to me as "Tammy". She said all the right things very convincingly, but was just interested in $$ in the end. Apparently she has been "playing the game" for awhile. How disgusting.
Looks like we have a whole group of wanna be private investigators. Lol You think just because someone has the same first name then they are all the same person. From my understanding the "resue" got mad when the pupppy wasnt turned over to them which seems to happen alot. As soon as someone needs to rehome a puppy/dog the "rescue" is all over them trying to get it. But once they dont then they back lash and try to start trouble with the owner. That has been my experience and a few other people I know. You guys dont help people. Most are just a bunch of older bitter women that like taking your moodiness out on inocent people. Youre always here to judge and think you know everything. You jump all over people that buy from breeders, that are breeders and that even mention they might breed. I mean is it really any of your bussiness what they do? Get a life!

It's a shame you feel that way. Many of us here on this forum have gotten our dogs from responsible breeders. Many of the folks here participate in rescuing the dogs that come from not-so-responsible situations. Many folks here breed and show their OES.

If you perceive rescuers as "bitter", it's because of what they see when they rescue dogs in terrible condition from horrible situations. It's because they have to deal with the results of irresponsible people who breed without any regard for the dog, or the breed standard. They clean up the messes left behind by people who breed solely for profit, and then discard dogs like they are used Kleenex.

Based upon your continuous tirade against OES as "tammypat", are you really surprised that a community of people who love this breed are wary of you getting more sheepdogs? Really? This is a rhetorical question, by the way.

Am I bitter? Heck yeah!
Old? Not so much!

I emailed you, Tammy Patriarca, through the
web site where you were selling your puppies
a couple of months back SO.....
Yes, I do know who you are!

Do you want to see pictures from the "guest"
that posted she has one of your former dogs?
Kissy???
The dog you hated but, then wanted back?
The dog that her first vet visit at the age
of 1 year old was over 1300 dollars due
to her condition!

Will, I debate with you over this?
"You Betcha"
This is what I do for "fun" so you put it...
I try to educate the public on irresponsible
breeding...
I do refer people to breeders and I do get
asked about specific people so, yes, I need
to have my facts straight!

Also, to help you a little bit...
If you wonder why your dogs are
"biters" look at where they are comng from.
This may keep you from having to continually resell
or return them!

With that, this bitter old lady is done!
I wonder if she has any association with amastiffs.com Shes also a breeder in sc. Her name is Lacey Mullins and she's known for being a byb with cages of dogs and her puppies living in the dirt. Anyone know if she is registered on here also? Besides that I believe in educating rather than throwing rocks. These people are going to breed no matter what and need guidance.
