Carpet cleaning solutions

I want to steam clean my carpets, but am not sure with Mattie having skin allergies what to use now. I'm not sure what will trigger her allergies to start so I want to be as careful as I can be.
What do you guys use?

Thanks for your advice.

I use tile and laminate flooring.
There are more and more hypoallergenic cleaners coming on the market. You don't need one specific for carpets as they all clean the same way. Just a few drops in your carpet cleaner will be fine. Just remember to rinse, rinse and dry well.
I use the regular Bissell or generic ones....but no allergy issues here. :?

Is there one made by the 7th Generation people? We have alot of that newer line around here available at most stores. It's supposed to be less of a chemical and more earth friendly.
I have a steam cleaner that uses no chemicals. But I also have mostly wood floors and tiles. Due to human allergies, we have all wood floors and no carpet.
