Bunny is a 5y/o female OES that is at a humane society in South Dakota...
(north of Sioux Falls)
She is not in danger but, does need a furever home!

It is in the works to try to get her into rescue but, any help I am sure
would be much appreciated by Bonnie.

 She is definately going to be happy at Dawn's house!
Good news. I love her name. :)
Now to work on transport.
Hopefully we can catch her a ride soon. She's a little over 4 hours away from me in South Dakota.
And in an outdoor kennel....with a cold snap coming. Lucky for her she has quite a bit of hair.
I'm working 12 hour shifts for the next several days, so I'm stuck :(

I can't wait to meet her
I'm sure Chewie will be overjoyed, and I'm sure she will not be as thrilled....
Hopefully you can get her picked up soon. I heard this morning that Fargo was set to have -20F temperatures...poor baby that's just too cold!
Ooooh... that's just darn cold. :(

:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:
Thank you, Dawn!
Is there anybody in the area that can help with a transport towards Dawn :plead: :plead:

I will turn the back heated seats on for her - Bunny will be warm and snuggly by the time she sees Dawn. :D

Where's the "lmao" emoticon?! ;)

Thanks so much Kathy, Jaci, Dawn and Steph!

A lot of behind the scenes work went into helping get Bunny on the road to rescue and out of the bitter cold. While it appears to have taken moments, it actually took days.
Often it really does take a village to save just one dog. Thank you all for being part of Bunny's village!! :hearts:
I hope wherever Ms. Bunny lands, she get's to keep that adorable name. :hearts:

I Love it.. :hearts: :hearts:
Yay for Bunny!

And by the way, this is even more evidence that the people on this board truly are the greatest!

I just read this thread, start to finish, and I'm crying (which is not unusual when reading this board) happy tears.

Looking forward to the pictures.

You beat me....got busy at work :|

Yes, she's on her way. AND she's going to drive her all the way to Mankato, as they have the time before I get off work at 7pm. Yay Stephanie!

We are meeting at The Paw (where I teach classes) and if you want a sneak peak, they have webcam :bulb:

The site is http://www.thepawmankato.com
I suggest logging in ahead of time (before 7pm central time) as there is some video player upload you may need to do.
what room where u be in are u meetin in the lobby?

ah, you've checked it out!

OK, yes, we'll be in the lobby 1st.

Then we will walk through the training center (use cam 1) and let them out into playground 1 to go potty.
The outdoor cam may not pick up, as we have a full moon and I'm not going to turn on the outdoor lights (too expensive, they need to warm up, and they will turn the WHOLE outside lights on for all the playground areas).

Then we likely will go back into the training center, or the small dog room for a bit.
Dawn you will have a full sled team before you know it!! :clappurple:

Just not sure I can imagine a basset pulling a sled!

Well.......
I had Simon and Harley with one time when we had weight pull practice. At the end I did put harnesses on them, hooked them in tandem and had them pull the empty cart!
They were so happy, as they had been watching the other dogs do it for 2 hours, and they were jealous!
Looks like it was a fun time!!
:clappurple:
I hope all went well with Bunny.

I went and loaded up the software and checked out The Paw video and got my time conversion sorted and was all ready to log in at 12 pm here and Wayne came home early and said we could go and buy the new vac I've been asking about for over a week. I had to go! It might have been another 2 weeks before the offer came again.

And with all the hairy creatures here I needed a new vac.
We are home, the haircut has begun.

Bunny is very sweet, very unaused to a leash, car, house....but so far, so good.

She also has diarrhea, poopy butt with dingleberries and has peed on the floor

Pictures to come!
I'm glad everyone made it home safe and sound.

What do the rest of the gang think of a new arrival?? I bet they know she's there even if they haven't met her yet. Can't wait to see pics.
:aww: :aww: :aww: Dawn-THANK YOU!!
dawn i saw u run threw the lobby but it was too fast!!
It was a really long drive....12 hours when all was said and done...but it was worth it. Bunny is a sweetheart. :hearts: Dawn, I am glad you have her...I know she will thrive :D
:clappurple: :clappurple:

Thank you so much Stephanie!!

What a wonderful thing you did for Bunny!!
Can't wait to see the new and improved Bunny with her new 'do! Thank you Dawn for fostering, I hope her belly calms down quickly for everyone's sake.
I am just catching this all now, but this is like the sweetest thing ever, you are all soo sweet!!!

Our OES is named Bunny and we call her Bunzilla. :-)
hmm, Bunzilla may happen some day too!
Better than Bunhead, anyway :plead:

Miss Bunny is doing well. She went with Chewie and I to the Paw for my classes tonight. She was a bit overwhelmed, but still friendly and wanting everyone to pet her. Also to visit their dogs. All her trips have been either with a stranger or to the vet prior to this, so I wanted to take her someplace more fun. She did enjoy herself. :D
Now her next trip will be Friday am to the vet for her spay.
:clappurple: :clappurple:
Love Foster Momma Dawn!
