| Beardie Rescue is supposed to be sending somebody to check on him.... I called he is still there and they sounded as if they had a lot of calls about him but, no pick ups so far! I will follow up when I hear back from Beardie Rescue! |

| I thought he was picked up by a rescue group but, come to find out the owner was just notified and he was picked up by the owner!  |

| Update from Beardie Rescue tonight "Hi Kathy, I just got back from the shelter. here's the story his "owner" had rescued him from another shelter a couple of years ago. then after a while, she gave him to her nephew and he got out of his nephew's yard. then probably got hit by a car (injuries). The owner found him at the shelter but had until today at 5:00 to say if she wanted him back. There are 4 rescue groups who have their name on him, but I put my name down, just in case. they said he's aggressive and has bit a shelter worker, but it could be because he's in pain." I am not sure that he is safe yet but, rescues are on top of it out there in Cali!! I hope the baby is in a safe place soon! |
| Thanks for the update, Kathy. When Panda's bladder sutures failed and we finally were able to find a competent vet to help her, she tried to bite the vet. Any dog in severe pain may bite. I'm glad they seem to understand that. Hoping this suffering pup will be ok.  |
| Monte is on Petfinder this evening, with a detailed listing of his injuries, and still listed as in danger of being euthanized. Are they just slow to change the files on the site, or is it possible that the owner has declined to take him home? Do we know if rescue is still involved? Poor boy.... |

The owner did not pick him up Rescue is still working on this dog...a volunteer went to meet him yesterday and will follow up tomorrow. The specifics are being worked on right now! |
 I HATE to hear that his owner left him like that! I hope it was something related to her realizing that she simply could not afford the vet bill and her only option would be to euthanize or leave him in the shelter, and not that she simply didn't care for him and was willing to leave him in pain. I'll say a prayer for the guy, and hopefully rescue can make a difference! Do we know what rescue is trying to help? You know, in case we want to donate towards his care and recovery treatments! |

Just me personally, if I could not afford for my dog to be treated, I would pick him up and have him euthanized in my arms! I am not judging the owner as some people can not do that...I do understand! I will certainly share the info on where this fella goes if rescue does get him.... | Montie is safe a group named "Best Friends" in CA got him this morning! I will post the info when I find it out if anybody would like to donate! |
