Teething

Hi was wondering if anyone else has had puppies stools go soft when they are teething.

My 21wk old puppy has a normal stool first thing and then they become softer as the day goes on. He is teething at the moment and is losing and getting teeth constantly and I just wondered if this was related.

I don't remember that with my puppy but I do remember that with my first baby so I would say it is possible they are related.
Ouch, must really hurt to cause a loose rear. Also if puppy is chewing a lot, the chewing action does influence the gut to be more active......and hence more action at the rear. Poor baby.......or poor you.
I cannot remember Howie's stools during that time.
I do remember freezing long slices of banana for Howie when he was teething. It seemed to eliminate the chewing of furniture.

I wonder if the banana helped firm up his stools??

Hope your pup gets throught this stage quickly,
peg
Thanks everyone he seems to be getting better both teething and stools, not chewing as much either.
