Very sad article

Found this on msnbc.com this morning. Very sad! Don't know if anyone lives near Savannah, GA who would be interested in helping, but thought I'd post this just in case.

Hi,

It is so sad  I do hope with the coverage that people will think to adopt one of these beautiful dogs or find foster homes for them in the meantime. I was surfing the web one day and saw an agency that keeps dogs for those that need temporary homes for them. While owners are incarcerated, have medical needs, are deployed overseas or other things that will make it impossible for them to keep their animal but they hope to be able to eventually take them back. I wish something like that existed all over North America as I believe it was in California.

Thanks for posting it as hard as it is to view, we all need to be aware of what's happening.

I wonder why their families or friends can't help out. I certainly would if someone I knew was going off to war. Soldiers have enough to worry about without having to give up a pet, and how sad that will be to return home and find out your dog was put down because nobody wanted it :(
