Whitening Eye Stains
We got Ollie a few weeks ago and I have been trying to find something to whiten the red-ish stains under his eyes. I purchased a product called "Crystal Eyes" from Petco but it does nothing to help. We use a whitening shampoo on him but it doesn't seem to make a difference either. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

| How young is the pup? Both ours came home at 8 weeks and had some tear staining. The tear ducts are not fully developed I beleive and that is the reason for the reddish tear stains. I wouldn't bother with any artificial stain remover stuff. Give it a few weeks and the hair will grow out and the reddish coloring will grow ong enougn to trim away/ Just don't trim the eye area so soon a unless you are very steady handed! | Yeah, if he's a baby, don't worry, they'll go away on their own. Just try to keep the area clean and wipe off any eye goo that he gets and they'll start to fade until you won't see them at all. That puppy hair seems to be really porous so that's probably why it stains so hard and is so resistant to removal. |
