I hope everyone survives the fireworks.

I hope everyone's puppers survive the fireworks.

We had a sleepless night last night. Rastus hates fireworks and unfortunately he's teaching Tiggy to be scared of them too. Some neighbours right over our back fence started firing them off around 9.30pm and things went down hill from there. Rastus sat on the couch leaning on Wayne and shaking and Tiggy paced and panted.

Eventually Wayne had to take them into the spare room with him because they kept jumping on the bed and landing on my sore leg. Then some neighbours a couple of houses up came out on the street to chat around 1 am and that set my scaredy cat Rastus off into guard dog mode. Lots of loud, go away I'm scarier than you, barking and growling.

I'll be taking a nap today and in her blog Tiggy says she will too.

fireworks and idiots shooting guns into the air. Police said they are going after those shooting guns......yeah right, too few cops. I expect MO and Harry will be nervous, Jack maybe, Glacier won't hear them. I hope I won't hear them either.
Never any fireworks for New Year's around here. 8O
Never even heard of it as a kid - until I grew up a bit I and knew people from other climates.

Guess the winter/cold weather makes it a no go. :lmt:
Pearl has been stressed enough today....I am hoping that she sleeps through the new year celebration!!!!

:ghug: :ghug: :ghug: huggs to all ....MIM~~~~~~
I'm nervous about how Mattie will act tonight. We have alot of fireworks on the lake at midnight. At least it doesn't last all night like the 4th of July. I have already given Mattie some calming herbs. I wasn't sure if I was going to get up before midnight. (yes I'm sure I will be sound alseep by then) Or just see if we all can sleep through it. I kind of want to see how Mattie acts. We will just have to see.

Happy New Year.

Archie wasn't to bad - I took him out earlier in the evening than normal - and he was busy watching cloudy with a chance of meatballs while they were going off outside so quite distracted
Someone here shot them off in minus THIRTY! What???????

There's a story to go with it, but it's too long to retype. Hudson's reaction to the boom booms is in antics...courage in the face of terror (or something like that) is the title.

Minus thirty? Seriously!
