I fell down the stairs this afternoon

So I was carrying a large load of clothes down stairs and I slipped on the first step. When I landed I landed with my left leg bent behind me. Troy wasn't home, so I had to crawl up the stairs because I couldn't stand. I drug myself to the phone knocked it down and called him to come home. I was crying so hard and laying on the floor, then here comes Frankie. I thought he would lay down next to me. NOPE.. He crawled all over me licking me like a fool. Troy was home within 5 minutes and had to put them in there crates Frankie was way to excited. We decided it was best to go to the emergency room. I couldn't walk on my left leg and can't even get a shoe on it. It was pretty quiet there. So they took xrays no breaks.
yay :clappurple: :clappurple:
He said I have a sprained foot and ankle and a sprained knee, and something with my hip.
I got crutches, he said to stay off of it for 8 days, and a prescription for pain.
What a day.

I feel your pain. Good thing you didn't break anything and you only have to stay off it for 8 days - these last almost 6 weeks for me have been TORTURE!!

Enjoy the down time and let Troy spoil you!!!
I feel your pain, well some of it.
I'm just off 10 days on crutches. I hated them, couldn't carry anything and they got in the way all the time.

I hope you feel better real soon.

Oh and take your pain meds as prescribed, you'll feel better faster if you do.
Wow -- I am SOO glad you didn't break anything. Rest up and HEAL!
Ouch! Hope you feel better soon.
So glad nothing is broken--take care and hope you don't have too much pain!
:phew: :phew: :phew: It's amazing you didn't break anything with a fall like that! Hope you heal quickly!!!
Ouchy. Glad its not broken.
Rest, and let others do for you. Hope you feel better soon. :ghug:
OMG I am so sorry to hear about your fall...how terrible. I hope you feel better soon.
8O Oh, I am sorry......however happy you didn't break your leg.
I believe Frankie sensed your pain and tried to help as good as possible.
:lmt: They have their own way of helping - not always how we'ld like them to help us
Ouch! 8 days minimum. Soft tissue injuries can take forever to heal. Give it time, enjoy the possible bruise color show. Stairs are so dangerous, I'm glad nothing more serious.
Ouch. Our dogs never were the kind, caring type you hear about. Your on the floor, oh boy, let's play. My husband has been on crutchs several times, not only do you have to watch what you're doing, you have to watch that no one is right underfoot to trip over.
Oh man, that sounds really painful! :(

Today and tomorrow are going to be worst - muscle pain from tensing up and the fall. Keep up your meds for sure - you can taper later!!
Oh, no! :( Thank goodness nothing's broken!! :phew:

I heard doggy kisses make things all better... :D
Oh My! Glad you're okay. Sometimes a sprain can take longer to heal than a break so be careful. Don't overdo when it starts to feel better...Never dull at your house, huh! Sending you some sheepie healing powers :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug:
Prayers and best wishes for a quick recovery. It could have been so much worse. Feel better soon............Kathy
Ouch. Wishes for a quick recovery!! :hearts: :hearts:

I agree, sprains are often harder to heal than breaks.

I hope you're on the mend now!
