Ebay Auctions for S.E. Rescue Fundraiser

Hi all;

I know I posted a bunch of this over on the Holiday greeting, but I'm going to re-post incase people don't realize its there.

Some of you may have participated last year when we held our holiday season fund raising auction. If you did, you'll notice that we have less pieces in this year's auctions. We had much more donations last time, but being sick this year, I was a bit of a slacker with staying on top of people for their donations. More pieces will go up tonight, but for now there is a decent number of things up, all of them hand crafted, most one of a kind items. You can see them if you follow this link:

http://shop.ebay.com/oesrescuenetwork/m ... ksid=p3686

and I'll post some of the photos I have of items as well! Al lproceeds benefit the Old EnglishSheepdog Rescue Network of the South East.

I know some of you are still waiting for some of last year's pieces of artwork to be loaded up at the rescue's cafe press store. I had a computer die with all the art on it, and I've been unsuccessful in getting the images off. Once I manage it, I will be able to get the art up. But it may be some time, or it may actually be lost to us entirely. :(

some very cute artwork:

this scarf is just great (so much so that Tonks wants to bid. I told her no):

some very unique 3-dimensional pieces:

a one of a kind sculpture of a Sheepdog done in an animated style that makes me think of Disney:

and our own Wendy Allen was very generous with her sculpted pieces; that OES snout pin is just gorgeous on a red holiday scarf!

it does! But I know what she'll say if I get it for her: "Mom, I have my winter gear all set! Lets go visit Joy and her mom Grete on the other side of the world!".
I've limited the auctions to the US and Canada, due to the shipping times and how close we are to the holidays. But if anyone outside of those two want to bid, drop me a message and we can see what we can do!

 OK I'll send you a message; if it's ok?Guess I could not bid here on this forum. :cow:
Love the artwork! I was expecting to see a sheepwoman by Adam though :plead: .

And I totally think Tonks should bid on the scarf...hello...it's looks awesome on her!
I am bummed. :( I went to bid on 2 items and realized the shipping costs to Canada is $20.00. Darn, that is just too much when I add on the actual price of the item (if I won).

I just want to check, am I reading that right??

It should be; I have nothing to do with the shipping costs. I instructed ebay to calculate the shipping depending on where its being sent. If you'd like, PM me your shipping address and I'll double check. With the holidays here, I also instructed ebay to charge for priority, as I didn't want anyone to miss out on giving the gifts if need be. I can try and re-calculate using a less expensive method. You just might not get it in time for Christmas.

Adam's behind on his deadlines, and I loath to ask him for more art. His curent piece is due on Friday evening. Maybe I can ask him to do something on Saturday, and get it up before its too late.
There are two items on there that I WANT!!! I have a tendency to go crazy and get really competitive on ebay too... so I'm a little worried about my self control

I really hope you can recover the art work from last year! I reallllyyyy want that Ralph and George one! Keep us updated.
I put 4 more pieces up for auction tonight;

the second fleece hat is now up there; so there are two now. One hat is accented in pink fleece and the other is accented in black fleece. These are child or infant sized; though they seems to almost fit my head. But I have a really small nogging:

and two more pieces of original art:

     ...waiting...waiting.... :lmt: :lmt: :lmt:

:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:
Don't let her guilt you! Many of you have kids and grandkids; go get that hat!!! :excited: :sidestep:

Truth be told; I made the hats. I had no idea they'd be so popular. Maybe after our Reingdog parade on Saturday, I can whip out another one for the auctions. I can't take credit for the scarf though. The cute girl modeling it in the auction's photos? (No, not Tonks) She made it for last year's auction, and completed it too late for inclusion. So its been hanging out in my office ver since, just waiting for its chance. I may let Riki know that she needs to open a boutique.
and Val; the scarf is LOOOOOOONG. Is that for yourself? Your grand-daughter may be too small for it.
Allison....

THAT is MY scarf!!!! I plan on wearing it to the Barkus Parade ...........and the St. Patty's Day parade..............and any other parades and outdoor events that the STLOES walks in.

Everyone will want one ..unfortunately, it IS one of a kind and I will have the only one!!!!! !!!!

:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:   :clappurple: :clappurple:
... unless I can convince Riki to go into business for herself making these. She could make a fortune; at least off of Val.... :sidestep:
:clappurple: I wish this was made for adults too, it looks very nice:

Could need one in the cold country of Norway.......
I've been looking for an adult version of the pattern; so many people have asked me for them since I posted!!!
Just increase the pattern pieces by maybe 2" all around to start and see how it turns out in paper first. Easy for a talented girl like you Allison!
uh huh. and have 2 ear flaps be right over your eyes. There's more to it then there seems....
That was why I said try it with pattern paper first...then you adjust. It's like a puzzle. They really are cute hats!
Items are ending tonight; don't forget to get your final bids in!!!
