How are you spending your long weekend? (US holiday)

How are you all doing...recovery wise from the big holiday meal??? :cow:

I saw a weekend plan online to recover from the holiday excesses, so it made me think about myself, and the rest of us!

I was lucky enough to have TWO fabulous meals - one last Saturday for the extended family with 47 of the closest Finch relatives  and then last evening meal #2 at my house after work. Last night it was Todd and I, the girls and their families, and son Travis. Just a paltry 10 people!

I worked Thursday 12 hours, and again today as well. I am getting up off my butt and exercising for 5 minutes every hour here at work. :D I've done 7-8-9-10, need to get going as it's 11:00 now. I also did some elliptical last night and this morning on the great new machine I got last week off craigslist!

Saturday and Sunday Chewie and I are in an agility trial, so that will be fun. Many of our classmate are going, so it is great support cheering for each other. It's about 1.5 hours from home, but we run about noon each day for our 1st class.; It's so nice to have no big rush. I probably will go earlier to watch, but it's nice to know if I feel like it, I can be lazy!

And, our ice from the ice storm is going to melt a bit - it's supposed to get a tad above freezing Saturday and Sunday. The paved roads are pretty clear now with salting/chemicals. The gravel roads we live on are a sheet of ice. :( So a little melting will be good...then we also can get out carting with the dogs on my days off too!   We need to all get in shape for when we get enough nice snow or the lake freezes over thick enough - can't wait to get the sled out!!

Good luck at agility you guys!

Sounds like it was a great holiday feast.
Last Sunday we had Thanksgiving with our children in FL. We flew out of FL to MI on Wed. Thursday we had Thanksgiving Brunch with my hubby's side of the family. Thursday night we had a huge Thanksgiving Dinner with my side of the family. Friday (tonight) we are having dinner with my daughter in law's family. Tomorrow we are having my step-son/ step daughter and their families/Jenah/Anthony over for a big dinner and fun for the day. We fly back home to FL on Sunday! The best part of our visit is I met my beautiful new granddaughter, Alyssa Renee Robinson. She is beautiful! So will enjoy the rest of the visit and hope I don't grow out of my slacks before I get home.

Dawn, we did have small snow flurries. I came equiped with hat/gloves

Good for you!! :D

It sounds like you are getting well fed everywhere you go 8O Iwould be frightened I would need new pants for the trip home!

And wonderful about seeing your new little granddaughter. Can't wait to see the proud grandma and Alyssa pictures
With the flu. I'm so annoyed. I tried to shop this morning and I only made it for an hour and almost passed out. Now I'm in bed and grounded. Suckssssssss.
I *might* have a trial Monday. So I have to spend the weekend prepping even though it's probably going to settle. I am super grumpy about it.

I'm also going to do a lot of online shopping to make up for my grief ;)

I was going to take the dogs xmas photos, but we have no damn snow!!
I'll likely be doing some work but this year we're going to have a live Christmas tree again! We plan to pick it up this weekend. My allergy dogs can't have a live tree in the house because the mold spore levels rise so quickly. So... I'm going to put it outside and decorate it. Sounds silly but I'm really looking forward to buying a cheap tree and not having to worry about chopping off the top or bottom so it doesn't hit the ceiling. :D

Have a great weekend everyone!
