True, but you get Boxing Day, right? Or is that just Australia and Canada?
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I hope you all have a great holiday (or non-holiday if far from here). Eat a lot and be merry and definitely give thanks for what you have.

xoxo

Nope! I'm not even entirely sure what its all about....
Boxing Day is the day after Christmas. In the oldenolden days, it was the day the land owners gave boxes (usually of food) to the people who lived on their land or in the village. Hence, Boxing Day.

Or maybe it was started by the owners of a certain breed of dogs.
Wishing all of you a very happy and satisfying Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone :)
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

It is one of my favorite holidays, because of getting together with friends and family and all that great food!

I work Thanksgiving this year (oh the joys of being a nurse!), but we are having dinner after I get off at 7pm. Todd is making a regular turkey this time around!! 8) :D

And my home care family is pretty darn nice, and the nurses are always included in holiday celebrations :D

Hope everyone has a day to enjoy and give thanks.
I'm right there with you Dawn. I work. The holiday switch is 4th of July...meaning I have to work one of them. I love the 4th and always want that one off, so I always work Thanksgiving.

To me its no biggy, its usually just dh and I or sometimes a couple friends. Dh cooks and I eat.

Have a nice turkey day everyone.
Happy Thankgiving everybody !! :D :D
HAPPY TURKEY DAY TO EVERYONE! I baked the pies last night in my new oven & it is the 1st time in 15 years the crusts didn't burn 8O I am so thankful for an oven that heats evenly

We have not really celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday for many years. Most know I'm a retired nurse and other than to say it's legit, well we don't talk much about Bob's job .
We have celebrated on black Friday for the last several years
( since I inherited Thanksgiving from my MIL ) We've found that we can be just as thankful, and eat way more than any of us should on Friday. It gives the guys that Bob works with a chance at a holiday with their young children. We also did/do this with Christmas after Ryan ( our son ) left home. When the g'kids arrived it still works better to do black Friday and Christmas Eve or Christmas night, we have less competition for their time by being flexible.
