Hair clips, bands, barretts?

What is best (less painful) to hold back a dog's hair from their face? I want to get some for Momo when her hair grows in.

With Abby, bands work better. Clips didn't stay in they slipped out. Some barrettes work better than others. It's a trial and error thing because of the texture of their hair at different ages. And you may want to start early so that she get's used to it.
I prefer barretts. Little clips with teeth to hold in better. They do shake them off eventually, but I've found some that manage to stay in most of the day. It only takes a second to clip it back on after it falls out, if the pup doesn't eat it that is.
The bands do stay in better, but I know how it feels to have an elastic band in my hair, hurts, and hurts even more when you have to pull it out. It's probably safer to eat though if it's small.
Clyde will pull out anything I put in and try to eat it. I've found that spray wax (we like Tigi headbanger Spray Wax) works really well. It's not stiff or sticky like hair spray and will comfortably keep the hair back from his eyes. I quick shot of the wax and then the blow dryer keeps it back for days at a time.
Ohhhh.... That's a great tip!!!!

We've tried everthing... Rubber Bands, Barretes, Clips, Elastic Bands. They end up eating everything.
The clips we get at walmart are very tiny, about the width of a person's thumb with 4 little teeth on each side coming together to pinch the hair. We can put one in Annie or Jack's hair and they won't come out, no matter how much rough housing is done. We have tons of them, because between Jack, Annabelle, Ashlan, and me all wearing them we lose as many as we buy.....LOL

If you don't want to put the hair up, and like the look of the fall in the eyes, then you could use a thinning shears on the area above the eyes and between the eyes to make it easier for them to see through.
