Erin?Gertie
Anyone have any good ideas??
How about each dog dressed as Santa, however from different countries?
Saturday is the big day! Winston and Phoebe are looking forward to seeing all their sheepie friends.
I did find some new jingle bells collars for them at Moochie & Co. for just $5.95. I bought the last two but clerk seemed to think that more would be coming in. If anyone would like me to try and get them one let me know and I will go by there on Friday.
Here's what they look like (but not as fuzzy)

Winston is going to have to practice wearing his since the jingle sound bothers him.
Nancy (Doggygirl not logged in)
These look like fun!! I may have to move, nothing like this around Denton. well we do have "dog days of summer" buts its really HOT! 8)
Make sure pictures are posted please, I really enjoy seeing everyones sheepies together.
ours is this Saturday in Atlanta as well. At first i had Tonks and Luna registered to participate in the "best dog pack". but then I learned that my request to get a table for our Rescue came through, so now we are going to be running that instead. I want to not be sad, its great exposure for the rescue. But Victoria Stillwell of "Its Me or the Dog" is going to be the Celebrity Judge, and I so badly want to meet her (and show her that a pair of OES can be well behaved... mostly)! Maybe she'll come by our table.... :plead:
Our official photographer let the threat of rain scare him off. I just have a few pics from before and after the parade:

This little girl wanted her picture taken with the OES group. Who wouldn't?

Relaxing after the parade and waiting for awards. A decent turnout considering the threatening weather predicted:

how about big red bows, like the one on the fence.......wreath bows. Antlers are pretty common anymore. The jingle collars are fine but are they showy enough? I was going to recommend red garters but realized they'd probably be chewed off very quickly.
Great pictures. That Nelson is one BIG boy!!! :hearts: :hearts:
The pics look great! The doggies and the uprights look fantastic.
Great pictures, looks like everyone had fun.

Nelson makes me smile :-)
Nelson is a good sized OES but Winston is even bigger, just not as hairy. 8O All the sheepdogs got a lot of attention at the parade :high5:

The antlers are a PITA to try to keep on. We decided to just go with Christmas plaid scarves and leg scrunchies because what could go wrong with that? The dogs sniffed the ground and caught their feet in the fringes of their scarves and got leaves stuck in them. The leg scrunchies lasted about a minute before falling off so we wore them as wristlets. Next year we're thinking of just dyeing Nelson red :hearts: and green :cyclops: so no worries about costume failures.
Thanks for posting the pictures, Nita. It turned out to be a great day despite the poor weather forecast. The first pictures of Nelson and Sassy is wonderful. Nelson is one big sweetie.
This sounds like a brilliant occasion nothing like that happening here :high5:
Looks great!!
I'm glad the weather cooperated and you didn't get all soggy.
