Rudy let me know he needed to go out last night!

I realize that this is something most dogs do with no problem, but it's new for Rudy. He generally doesn't pee in the house...assuming he goes out enough times a day. But, if he needs to go out aside from those times he's not been able to tell us, and that results in an accident.

I woke up at two in the morning last night, and Rudy was pacing the room, and poking at me with his nose. I took him right out and he made a huge pee! :clappurple:

Yay! This is a great accomplishment. Fingers crossed that it is something that continues.

That is wonderful news. I remember when that happened with Maggie - who was never in a house until she came to us at 1.5 years old. We were thrilled too! :high5:
Give Rudy a hug and butt scratch from Chauncey & I  :ghug: :yay:
so pleased for you, i think OES learn so much so fast, how old is Rudy now ? :ghug:
Hurray Rudy!! That is a milestone indeed. Smart boy, it was only a matter of time before he figured it out. I love following his story, it just feels that, week by week, he writes a new chapter and is finally able to become the fine boy he is!
Good boy Rudy, it's hard learning all these new rules isn't it. Butchy said he's finally getting it he thinks, but we'd better not miss the signs.
I'm sure Rudy is pleased you responded to his teaching you!
yea i knew he would do it :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:
Good boy, Rudy!!!
Woo hoo Rudy!!! Good boy, good boy!
yay - love sheepie accomplishments!!!! :clappurple:
Moe gets antsty and grabs bottom of my pants..and high pighed bark..every time it means ..i have to poop!!
Good job Rudy!!!
Mo barked today letting me know she had to go out. This is very, very unusual. Normally she relies on my ability to see her pacing........or her "look." She'll stand and stare at my husband, "I've got to go!!" But DH is by far the denser of the two animals. Mo has incredible patience.

Jack will pace and if I'm too busy to notice he'll go ring the door bells and then poke his head around the corner, "Did you hear that??"

Rudy is catching on!

Sigh...I've been keeping this secret for a few days now...

Two nights after I posted this, he peed in the bedroom again.

Oh, Rudy...
Tacie I can sympathize, Butch has been doing pretty good, he's 14 months now but the last 2 days he's peed in the hall. I'm so proud cause he lifts his leg on the wall and we get to clean all of it. He's not suppose to lift his leg.

I just don't know if it will ever completely sink in. We can go to town and be gone several hours and it's just fine but if we didn't get him out the minute we get home we'd have a mess.

Oh well, maybe someday.
