Frankie had an over night visit

We did a dry run with Frankie at a new boarding place. Frankie went there Wednesday all day spent the night then stayed until 6 Thursday evening. They Let the dogs live in the house with them sleep in there rooms or sleep upstairs with the kids.
When Troy went to pick him up yesterday her son said that Frankie was the bestest dog ever, and if we ever wanted to get rid of him he wanted to make Frankie his dog. He is probably 10. So of course Troy said it's ok with me but you'll have to ask Lisa :x
He always has to be a ---------( you can fill in the blanks) I guess Frankie went upstairs to sleep with the boys, and couldn't figure out how to get down the stairs. I had forgotten to tell her he doesn't do multiple stairs well.. Once they got him downstairs he slept on a dog bed outside of there bedroom door. In the morning everyone went outside approx 5 other dogs, she wondered where Frankie was. He was still sound asleep on the dog bed
I told her that Frankie sleeps in until 8 usually. They loved him and said he was always welcome. It makes us feel so much better about leaving him when we go on vacation in a couple of weeks. At Petsmart he would never get to go outside. Troy feels that he needs to have outside time. She gave him quiet time in a seperate room that the kids use the computer in so he could have his Zebra and UFO kong toy. So that makes me happy.
I'm so glad someone told me about her.

Lisa, that is so great you found someone like that! How did you hear of her?
Wow! That sounds ideal! Good boy Frankie.

One of our dog walkers told me about her. She has a dog walking business and is head of the dog walkers association here in the area. I guess she doesn't advertise her boarding so I am very lucky to have found her.

The title scared me! My 1st thought was an overnight VET visit.

Sounds like a great place for Frankie to stay when he can't be at home with you. :D

Yep that was my thought too.

It sounds like you hit the jackpot with this place. Wish I could find someplace like that.
That sounds like such a nice place. Frankie is such a lucky boy!
I have a wonderful lady that comes 3 times a day, feeds them, takes them out to play etc...Last time I left them they had lots of attention...she came 3 times and daughter and grandaughter came each day and stayed for a couple of hours...I think they just liked staying at home and getting lots of attention...cost was less than boarding them and I didn't have to worry about them picking up something or them not eating etc...My Mom also has a family that takes her dog into her home and treats him like one of the family. She keeps them for one day also to see how they do with others. It makes leaving them so much easier knowing they are not only being cared for but loved.
The people we board with board right in their home, too. I think it makes a huge difference in how happy the dogs are. The people really love the dogs and treat them like their own. For them it's not a job, it's like having company over for the night. :)
Your so lucky to find someone so great for Frankie to stay with. :clappurple:
