Oh, that stinks! Should shopping go on your list? I think if I were preggers I would wear sweat pants all day every day! I should make some pumpkin something or another. I LOVE pumpkin!

Totally agree this week has dragged on! I have a hair appointment at the salon too!
It's a pretty good Friday here in Minnesota. Very sunny, the wind (we were in advisories the past 2 days) has died down, and a nice 29 degrees F outside.

I am at work, but it's a nice day. My client took a sleeping pill (new for him) and he's still sleeping! (11am here). All is well, I check on him very often, :D and my chore list for the down times is getting done too.

I also am getting some of my paperwork done - work and non-work related.

And it's almost lunch time!!

This weekend I have Chewie entered in an obedience trial in the Twin Cities - on the south side 'burbs, so a drive of about 1 hour and 20 minutes. We are just going to try and get his CD (Companion Dog) title done - he has 1 leg already, need 2 more legs (qualifying scores). He really isn't that enthralled with this, so my goal is just to qualify and get it done! He has NQ'd twice already - and that is so unlike him. He knows it all, actually very well, inside out and in his sleep! He just chooses to not play the game....crazy dog. We will have a pep talk! and hopefully I can strike a deal with him :lmt:
...do this 2 times and never again....I hope it works!

It's also supposed to be really nice out this weekend, so I hope to get home at a decent time to enjoy part of the weekend outdoors at home. But, the entries are pretty large (25 in our Novice B class Saturday, 28 Sunday), and we start our class at 11am, so maybe not :?
Good Morning (afternoon already for some) and Happy FRIDAY!!!

My weekend is jam packed, just the way I like it! Tomorrow is off to the dog park to meet our 9am friends then I'm heading to a makeup party hosted by a girlfriend that I haven't seen in months. I'm soooo excited!

Saturday night is date night with the hubby, which usually consists of a movie and popcorn. YUM!

Sunday I am cleaning cleaning CLEANING the house and then off to see The Lion King with my friend, Donna! She just got a new Rottweiler too so I get to meet the sweet baby! Can't Wait! :excited:

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm out! :sidestep:
Tattoo appointment tonight, then early to bed.
Errands all day tomorrow, new tires are needed for the car so that's a possibility
Saturday evening I'm hosting a volunteer training for the rescue group... this will take up the bulk of my day
Saturday night headed out to a friends house with the dogs
Sunday I'm watching football with Walter and then shopping with my mom.

I love how my "lazy" weekends always end up getting packed to the brim. At least Sunday will be relaxing.... except I have to find a way to get the dogs some exercise, I think they are going stir crazy.
I think I'll be hanging out on the couch all weekend.

And by "hanging out", I mean...

Hanging around, doing nothing, watching TV. What did you think I meant?

We are supposed to have fairly nice weather this weekend. Melissa and I are hoping to get Izzie to the forest preserve for a "hike"...it may take awhile because Izzie is a bit of a wanderer, but she'll have plenty to sniff.

We (I) need to finish painting our dining room table.

I am also thinking about putting out my Christmas lights. I won't turn them on, but it is always nice to take my time and not have to worry about frostbite. :D I only put out twinkle lights...so when they aren't on they are fairly hidden in the bushes.
I'm really a dud. When I worked yet and lived down around Milwaukee I lived for weekends. Now that I'm not working and living up here and my kids are all around Milwaukee I really don't like the weekends anymore. I read and do outside stuff but the 2 days just seem to last forever.

You have electricity outside?? :sidestep:
Oh, Ron  .

Dawn, I really admire what you do with Chewie. I wish I lived closer, Oliver and Lucy could really stand a brush up on their training...and by they I actually mean me.
Just got back from a mani-pedi, so nails and toes are looking spiffy, though my toes are FREEZING. Today we are going to my in-laws for dinner, which is awesome. I have the best in-laws on the planet.

Tomorrow, dinner at a friend's house, and I'm bringing pumpkin cake and my kick-@$$ chocolate chip cookies. Haven't seen these folks in awhile so I am looking forward to it.

Sunday....hubby is golfing so I am going to clean the house. Lots of toilets to scrub. Yippee!

Laurie and Oscar
Oh what I'd do for a manicure and pedicure. I just don't have time to get one, but my toes are starting to look funky.

I got my first pedi 2 years ago, and I LOVE them now! I run so much that my feet are pretty narly looking but a pedi helps so much!
How does that help me?!?!!!!

You coming by to babysit or sew my jeans back together? 8)
Oh, yum, all these pumpkin goodies sound great! This a.m. I ran by the church because I knew a lady known for her steamstress skills was whipping up another 80 loaves of yummy bread....I had some vestments for her to repair.......and stayed to help bake. Yummy, braided Greek sweet bread.....yummer. Tomorrow is another baking day........cookies and baklava I believe. Unfortuntely I've got to get to the store soon.........about down to jelly jars in the refrig. Maybe DH is able to do grocery shopping now.........? :lmt: Sunday is a potluck so I have to think of something between now and then. I wish Costco or Sams was closer.

Clean? What is that? My dust bunnies are pregnant.........don't want to disturb them.

Hey if I wasn't making silly jokes, I'd be crying into my root beer and telling tales of woe. Your choice! :D

At least you wouldn't be having a drink by YOURSELF!!! I'd prefer the silly jokes, personally.

Mrs. J, I would love to babysit your cute kiddos! Next time in your neighborhood (last time was 10 years ago), I'll totally watch the kiddos so you can get a pedi! You don't want me to sew your jeans...not pretty. They'll hold, but won't look pretty!

Homemade bread is the best! Just the thought of the smell is making my mouth water. Mom used to make it growing up: we'd eat most of it before it hit the table!

Mrs J, where do you live? I want to babysit!!!!
Nice thread.

We are just kicking back tonight. Tomorrow it's end of year yard work and getting ready for an evening bonfire. Whole family is coming, so it should be fun.... and very COLD!

Weinies and all the fixin's including homemade coney sauce
Mac and cheese
Cowboy beans
Deviled eggs
Slaw
Chips
Homemade Bread and Butter pickles
Lemon Bars
Pumpkin Cake
Apple dumplings
Smores
Jo's recipe for mini muffins
Everyone welcome!

Sunday is laundry and cleaning. Or maybe just sitting on my hind end. Haven't decided yet ;)
I also thought I was sold on the homemade bread ...but Abuckie just talked dirty to me, and I like it!!

Have fun with the family! The temp here is PERR-FECT.

I'd do anything for homemade mac n cheese. It's always been my favorite.

My sister is making it-- and she makes the BEST. 4 cheeses and lots of goo.
My plans for the weekend are....since I just had a new granddaughter this week, going to go out and buy some gifts for her. My coffee maker hit the fritz this week as well so I have to go searching for a new coffee maker. I'm going to really enjoying looking/buying all the little girlie things. :) I just can't get this huge smile off my face.:)
Oh yeah, I also have to look for some warm clothes to wear in Mi in a few weeks...I don't like buying winter clothes.
It's finally cooler, fall is everywhere!!!! We're taking 2 yr old grandaughter Zoe to Home Depot for monthly project...always fun to watch adults figure out the directions! If it warms up we will take them to fall festival downtown. So much fun reliving things like this thru the eyes of a 2 year old! The dogs are just excited that it's cooler and they can see the squirrels in the trees easier! I just love seeing each season and enjoying the unique things each one brings! Hope you all are enjoying each day! :yay:
Oh wow Lori that sounds delish.
It's pretty chilly here in Michigan also. Hubbies travelling to a much warmer part of the country this weekend  Boy am I jealous

Helen, I remember how my mother would fuss about when she'd have to find warmies to go to Colorado when she lived in AZ. She hated even thinking about cold weather. Children/grandchildren be da**, she hated winter.
I am going to make a cherpumple!

Oh that sounds so sad. Tell you what, I'm not sure how far up north you are but my boys are into a playdate any time. Take a few hours(drive) and come on down!
Ooooo, I'm jealous of all the wonderful and relaxing plans.

I'm on my third consecutive weekend of writing report cards. Sigh. The good news is that hopefully this will be my last weekend of it, for this term. :phew:
It's Saturday morning and I'm off to Target, then the bank to find out about refinancing. A hair cut later, then the barn when I plan to ride Bob the Wonder Pony. Tonight I will veg in front of the tv. No plans for tomorrow except Bob and then the health club.

I should dust but who besides me sees it?????
I bet Bob loves your visits!

I had a wonderful morning. Woke up early, took Oliver and Lucy on a walk, made muffins, read a mag. and drank coffee....now off to get my haircut!
Ah, you've done all that already??

I'm laying in bed in my pajamas answering rescue related emails and seeing how long I can hold off feeding the dogs before Rudie has a heart attack (he's sleeping next to me right now). I was never a morning person, don't know that I ever will be!

Lucy starts whining to go potty at 5:15. When she finally lays her head on my neck I know she has to go NOW. They then get 1/2 of their food and I can lay down for another 15-20 minutes. I can't remember the last time I slept in after 6:00!

Poor Rudie...a boy's gotta eat!!!

Mrs. J...you should try this!

Rudie wakes us up first, usually around 8am on the weekends. The funny thing is though it's not to go out, it is to eat. If he we fed him and didn't take him out he would go back to sleep. Marley can sleep/cuddle in bed for as long as we want her to. I don't envy those of you with early morning dogs!

And poor Rudie just got a can of salmon because we are out of their regular food...
Pam, thanks so much for the invitation. It would be great for the dogs to get together and we do get down there as often as we can.
