Puppy Bathing and Grooming

My puppy class trainer suggested this trick.

Spread peanut butter all around the tub. Pup will rotate around while licking it and offer you all angles for washing.
She also suggested beginning this with an empty tub, then a little water, etc. to ease pup into it.
The theory is, pup will run to the tub because of the positive and yummy association.

Hmmm... I don't think I'd want to try that one. It sounds kind of yucky, peanut butter doesn't wash off too well, and I can see the pup rubbing into it more than anything.
They generally learn to like, even love baths, if it is not a scary experience, make it pleasant and feel good early on. Today when I was getting ready to bath Sky, both dogs came running into the bathroom and wanted in the tub. LOL They love their baths, Dancer will even lie in the tub in the warm water.
Willowsprite's right peanut butter whew! I'm going to say the trainer was giving that one off the top of their head. They get used to it and like it eventually. Trust is the big issue here. Anytime Roger starts to wonder what the heck I am doing I stop, talk to him a little bit, kiss his nose, and remind myself he is a person after all, you also have to be the boss and not let hem run the show or they will expect to run the show.
