Anybody see the new Nissan Leaf / polar bear commercial?

Was curious to know if anybody has seen the new Nissan Leaf / polar bear commercial.

If not, here it is:

It's like a giant sheepie hug. :)

I love a polar bear but I don't like a guilt trip.
Ditto. Love the bear, hate the "we are killing the polar bears."
I think it's great and figure we could all use a little guilt.
Great commercial!
I just thought the bear was cool.

LOL. I'm not fighting you on the bear. I would also love a hug from a polar bear so I'm 100% with you on that. I apologize for highjacking your post (but I'm gonna do it anyway)!

I just hate that angle that this commercial takes, that by driving this car, we're somehow saving the bears. Yes, it's all electric and is supposed to get 300+ mpg but, unfortunately, we're also still at a point where most of our electricity is still coal fueled, so if we're all using more electricity, we're using more coal until we come up with a better mainstream way of providing that energy. Ultimately as a consumer, you'll save some money on gas, but it's not going to have a massive cut in changing the planet. Bears won't hug me in my driveway, I'm 99% sure of that.

I just hate that in-your-face-make-you-feel-bad-for-nothing crap. I rode my bike 11 miles to work this morning in 30 degree weather. It doesn't get much greener than that.

I believe that's blue, not green.

Is there really a trained polar bear??
yep, she's aggie. 8)

I want a trained polar bear so bad now!
An air hug? bummer
I wonder if Aggie was fed well just before the hug scene.
I know most of it was fake, but the beginning part of the hug wasn't (that was the trainer you saw).

I know I wouldn't want to hug a bear unless it's stomach was just about to burst from eating.

Listening in mute, so I missed the guilt trip verbalizations....just was wondering about how the bear and the car were linked!

But I agree - only VERY FULL bears around me...it was actually kind of scary to watch...when the bear walked around the back of the car my heart lurched! 8O
well I am glad someone explained the advert, I didnt get the connection. I would love a polar bear as well but will make do with an old english instead x :aww:
