Feeding Schedule for Puppy

I have a 5 mth old sheepie named Pixie. I currently feed her 3 times daily, not sure when I should switch to twice daily. It just seems like alot of food to feed in 2 feedings-an advice would be helpful!
Thanks

We stayed on three feedings until I think six or seven months. Then we did two times a day, morning and evening. But we also cut down some food as they required less food than they didmas pups. My dogs now eat one cup in the am and one cup in the PM...But that also depends on what you feed. We feed Orijen dry Fresh fish and that's what I feed...plus a tablespoon of yogurt at night with a few kibbels on top as "topping"...

I think at five months they are still growing and need the extra food but I'll let the experts give their advice...calling the experts in please
I agree, about 6 months transition to twice a day. The amount depends on the quality, so hard to give you exact amounts. They are still growing well into their teen months, so let your hands, eyes and vet tell you if they are getting enough or too much food. Mine have always eaten twice a day. As they get older it is a pitiful amount as their needs are reduced, but they love the 2x a day.
Thanks everyone for the replys - Pixie is doing well on the three feedings a day, she is eating Science Diet Large Breed Puppy - but I will want to get her to twice a day like my other 2 dogs. She is 5 ths old (born May 16/10) and weighs 49.5 lbs - she is tall and lean, not much fat on her. She does get alot of good exercise, (fenced acre + 2 other dogs) and lots of sleeping (on her back of course). This is my first time with an OES but I am loving the breed, so different from my other mixed breed dogs. So sweet, good tempered with EVERYONE dog, cat or human (or pot bellied pig, there is one in our obedience class called Bacon) My other dogs are in competitive flyball so I am hoping that is is something Pixie will also enjoy, although at this point she is having more fun chasing the other dogs than the ball! She won't start actual training until she is a year old, - but we are just introducing the tug and the balls.
She may not be as crazed as those other breeds with flyball, but being a working/herder she could be fun to train and watch. You will keep us up to date on her "games."
