Woohoo NC Play date!!!
It has cooled off and it is time for a sheepie play date in the south!!!! Jay and Mary have offered to host a play date in their area!!   They have a fenced dog park with picnic areas around too!! We are thinking November 13th!! Anybody game?? It is in Leland, NC... We were thinking of having covered dishes for us(two legged) I guess we would share a bit with the four leggers!   Let us know if you are interested!!! I am so excited!!!! |

| Okay, I fibbed! I forgot they have built up so much in Leland... OKAY....I didn't ask the rate, that can be looked up on line but, it is 40 dollars extra for two dogs!  They have to be under 50 lbs and I said they are usually just fluffy!!! I did laugh when I told her that... I will check with Jay and see if there are any more new places out there! |

| Hi this is Jay. We have had good luck with the Jameson Inn in Wilmington. It's about 15 mins. from Leland. It's located right where I-40 ends just offf Market St. Very clean, Good rates, there is a pet charge but size doesn't matter. |

| Hope all the Sheepies (and friends) in the area can make it. We are going to meet at NOON at the park. Here are directions: Coming from Wilmington after you cross either bridge follow signs for (and stay on) Rt.17 S (Myrtle Beach,Brunswick Beaches). After it splits off to the right from Rt.74/76 you will soon see a Walmart, Arby's and Applebees on your left. Continue another 2 miles and you will see BRUNSWICK FOREST sign on your right and a 2 lane exit on the left which you will take to go into the development (Brunswick Dr.). Take your first left onto Low Country Blvd. and you will soon see a sign on the left for Meadow Park followed shortly by the circular parking area. After parking turn right after entering the park and the path will lead you to the Dog Park. There are also walking trails in the park as well as other places in the community which I can help you with. There is a gazebo picnic area right next to the dog park so we all bring a lunch we could share it there if you like. There are human facilities near by at the "wellness" and "sales" centers both of which you pass by on the way in. Please feel free to email me with any questions. | There isn't a street number for the park but if you put in Low Country Blvd once you turn onto it, it is the first thing on your left about a 1/4 mile down. If you start to see houses, you've gone too far. It's pretty hard to miss. Tucker is looking forward to making Winnie's acquaintance. |
| Oh my....Tucker may as well bring flowers becuase, he is going to fall for Winnie!!! She is adorable and so is Tucker.... I think Tucker and Frankie are going to have their paws full of girls!! |

| Slight correction to my previous post. As you are coming down Low Country Blvd. I should have said "if you GET to the houses you've gone too far"; you can actually see houses from the park entrance. You really can't miss it so don't be concerned. |

| We are still on for this Saturday the 13th around noon! Two more sheepies that Frankie's Momma knows are coming too! We decided since it was a smaller crew and still some uncertains(not to mention the cooler temps) That we would just play!!!!  If anybody wants to get together after words there are dog friendly restaraunts in Wilmington! Can't wait to see you all!  |
| Traffic alert! There is a triathlon going on in Wilmington that will cause some traffic delays going across both bridges and the area around the entrance to the battleship. You should probably allow for a little extra time getting here because of that. The good news is the weather, which should be perfect for playing with Sheepies. Looking forward to seeing everyone! |

| Our dog park is divided into 2 sections (big dog/little dog) so Finn can have his own play area so please bring him along. I know he's not little but that side is rarely used so it shouldn't be a problem. |
