Poop problem

Zoe has had very loose poop for 1 1/2 days. I would not go so far as to say that it is diarrhea. She is eating and acting ok. No fever-and plenty of energy (she was running laps around the backyard at 2 a.m. this morning).
She eats ProPlan, which is what the breeder had her on. I give her some chunky canned food on top of her dinner a couple times a week. Usually just Alpo lamb and rice which is what she loves. She did have a whole can of this for her birthday on Friday as an extra treat.
Do I need to go ahead and take her to the vet or just give it a couple days?

In my past experieces with canned food , I'd give it a couple days. Maxwell doesn't get any canned food because it gives him the runs and soft stools. The only time I make an exception is when I have to give him medicine and the canned food makes it easier.
We had that problem when Pooh was on Science Diet. Switched him to Nutro and that did the trick.
any change in food can cause this, even if you just gave her extra of
the canned food. It may have just been too rich for her system.
I wouldn't worry much unless it becomes really runny or has blood or
mucus. Give if a few days. If it really gets worse, call the vet and ask him
about it.

Ditto there... Ours have some sensitive stomach too. Every time we have a BBQ at home they stuff themselves and the same thing happens. As long as that's all she has, I think she'll be okay.
Well I figured out what it was. I asked my husband if he gave Zoe anything extra to eat when I was at work on Sunday. He gave her that fake crab leg stuff that he snacked on while the game was on. He said he gave her a couple of the 4" long pieces.
No crab for Zoe again!!

Thank you all for your replies and advice!
LOL! That will do it. Some sheepies have such tender tummies! Next time puppy gets a messy butt and you have traced it back to hubby sharing his bratwurst or some such, make him clean up the sheepie's rear end.

It's not cruel to keep them on their regular diet even for special days. They don't enjoy the tummy ache any more than we do and it surely isn't special. Make the special days something nonfood special........a new walk route, ride in the car, new toy, etc.
Making hubby clear up the rear end after he has fed them something works.
Mine only fed my two bits of his evening snacks once . The dogs had the runs the next day and i refused to clean their bums .

You should of seen the faces my hubby pulled cleaning them down
Tasker has a veeeeeeeeery delicate tummy. Early on I learned to give him ONLY one type of dog food and one type of treat. He's never had so much as a scrap of table food or human food. Sometimes I'm tempted to give him something but then all I have to do is think about how tough those messy butts are to clean and he gets an extra ear scratch or tummy rub instead. One unintended benefit of his feeding plan is that he really has no idea that when people eat he should be interested, he never begs for food and will actually walk by a plate of food on the coffee table and not give it a second thought (although I wouldn't leave him alone in a room with people food and not expect him to chow down  ).
