I have always started to pluck my pups ears as soon as they have settled in to their new home.I start by just pulling a few hairs out with my thumb and finger and then gradually build up to using doggie tweezers.I also use Thornit ear powder before plucking as it helps to get a grip of the hairs.Don't use it whilst drops are going in the ears though.
Yep, this is training time, just a few hairs at a time. You want them to get used to it, like with brushing and toe rubbing for nail trimming. The more you handle them now, the better they will be later.
thanks for the info, shadow is our 2nd OES , we lost Sasha 6 weeks ago and i could not remeber what age i started, shadow lets us feel toes ears and rub his gum, and love being brushed,
thank you all for advice.
