The New Fall Shows

Has anyone watched any of the new fall shows yet.
We tivo'd alot of them and are catching up on them this weekend.

So far I liked Chase and the new one with Tom Selleck.

I've watched:
"$%*! My Dad Says" - if it doesn't get funnier in a hurry, don't expect this one to last
"Outsouced" - pretty good. probably will stick around just because of all the other great shows around it
"Better With You" - while it seemed funny, it was forgettable. I had to look up the name of the show because I had already forgotten it and I just watched it yesterday (dvr'ed). The bits seemed old and played.

I am looking forward to "The Ordinarys" (I think it's called that) on Tuesday night.
Not new but are favorites ..." Castle " & "House".

My husband & I always watch "Biggest Loser". The rule in our house is, we must have gone for a run, showered and in p.j.s before the show starts. Something about watching large folks exercising while I sit on the couch like a sloth, just doesn't feel right, so I like to run beforehand. Mind you, Mark faithfully eats potato chips while watching the show...go figure.

I have yet to see any of the new programs yet.

peg & pup howie (too young to run with us, but watching t.v. anyway!)
We're watching The Whole Truth, which if it can sustain itself, has a very cool premise. You have a Public Defender and the District Attorney, so you see how both of them uncover evidence about the case and at the very end of the episode you find out what actually happened.
Anyone watching "Outlaw" with Jimmy Smits?
I've dvr'ed but have had no time to watch yet.

we're watching (or trying to..)

lonestar
hawaii five - o
the event

old shows but new season:
apprentice
community
hell's kitchen
survivor
amazing race
modern family
two and a half men
house
dancing with the stars

Of these... we've just seen the first episode of hell's kitchen, amazing race, house, and dancing with the stars.
i'm dying to check out the new shows but they are violent or have scenes we don't let our kids see... so we can only watch them after they go to sleep. ...which usually means I'm too tired to.

I wasn't "wowed" by it, but I think it may stay...I'll watch again this week. I haven't put it on my DVR's schedule yet...waiting to see how much I like it in three episodes.

I watched THE WHOLE TRUTH and think it will hang in...great premise and will get it's groove in a couple of weeks I think. I enjoy "law" related shows.
Goodness folks, how long do you spend in front of the TV? After an hour I'm ready to split for something else!

I walked out on Tom Selleck's show, bored 45 minutes into it. Hawaii Five O held my interest the full hour.

I'm not into court room drama which is why I gave up on Law and Order years ago.
House bores me any more, even DH has quit.
I don't do any reality show.....excuse me, I did watch American's Handyman on HGTV.

 Thanks Susan, I thought I was the only one that was commercial TV ADD. I used to watch House, but he whines way too much now. Courtroom stuff is just too contrived. Reality shows are all that, whiney, contrived, and way too slow. Why do the reality producers think they are building suspense when it's just dead air that makes me switch channels. I did watch the first episode of American Handyman and the last episode of Master Chef (endouring the "suspense moments").

Still a big fan of
True Blood
Warehouse 13
Big Love
Weeds
Mad Men

I do think I'll give The Event a try.

Thank goodness for on demand. The weather is still too nice to be inside before 8pm.
Caught a few minutes of the new show "Mike & Molly" last night.
Seemed pretty funny from what I saw of it. Will have to DVR it next week.
Same here Mark. I caught the beginning then fell asleep on the couch.

It was funny.

Watched my DVR version of Blue Bloods, new Tom Selleck show. The show wasn't bad, but not the type of program I enjoy. I won't be tuning back in, but others may. Police related series.

Regarding watching alot of TV...I really don't. I DVR every show I want to watch so I can pass right through the commercials. I have a really hard time sleeping at night, so I get up and watch my DVR programs. I do not watch any Reality Programs.
