Tonks has been very Naughty

I like to brag about how good my dogs are. They never chew things, come when called, generally do great obedience stuff, and have wonderful manners. Adam's been feeding the girls scraps from his plate lately, so they've begun to be interested in food at the dinner table, but when I tell them to leave it they lie down and behave.

I'm still being sick all the time, so I've been really lax about keeping up with our training. I've noticed some behaviors that i don't like (like the dinner table lingering) so I'm trying to bring them back to training classes. Today's class, Tonks was outrageously bad. She didn't want to do the simplest commands. She'd misbehave, and I'd keep on her until she did as she was told. And tonight at home, she got her vengence. For the first time EVER Tonks counter surfed!!!!!   Adam and I were in the next room, and Tonks took a chicken breast from a pan on the stove top. She brought it to the couch where I was sitting, hopped up next to me and ate it!!!! By the time I was like "Did you give Tonks some food...?" the chicken was entirely devoured.

I think someone needs to go back to training tomorrow!!!!!!!

Someone?? Sounds like Adam and Tonks need training!
Obviously spotting the signs that the pack leader is fading fast 8O and looking at filling the void

Survival of the fittest etc

If that means snaffling some yummy chicken to see if the pack leader is still in charge then sobeit!
Tonks is VERY much testing the boundaries these days. I'd love it if my doctor would finally diagnose my mystery illness, so I can stop being sick and get back to kicking my dog's butt into shape!!!!!

What is it about those guys??? It must be the hunter instinct, they want to make sure they feed the entire family.
Oh no. I understand. When I could not walk (broken foot) then surgery on throat -- my guys had to be retrained due to Daddy spoiling them.
Oh, I hear you! I've been a bit incapacitated due to my back and my dogs are taking advantage of every minute of it! I can't do much obedience and walking. They are wild and crazy. My Dad lives with us ( he's 85 ) and cooks them eggs when they're bored...My Husband spoils them rotten and thinks obedience training is "mean"...HELP ME!!!

So, I understand yoour frustrations!!!!!I know...let's send the husbands to obedience training without the dogs to learn who is pack leader
I didn't realize this problem was so rampant!!! ADam can be good about training, but since half the times he spoils them and half the times he demands obedience, I think that the dogs get confused. I also think the dogs have learned how to play him. And in the end, I'm the mean one.

Boy does that sound familiar!!! 8O
I'm the meanie around here and Wayne lets the dogs get away with murder until it doesnt suit him and then he expects them to behave. Yeah right!
