Grooming around eyes

My husband and I are seriously considering trimming around Khloe's eyes to help her see better. We have tried the top knot and it just isn't cutting it. Are there any pros or cons to getting her groomed around her eyes? I am convinced she doesn't see well with her hair as it is and feel like she might be happier with it trimmed back. Feedback is appreciated.

It's like a person having a haircut with bangs. You can cut them and the result is okay until they grow out but then they need constant trimming. If you let the hair grow it will eventually be long enough to pull up and tie in an elastic band. The choice is yours, there is no right or wrong way to groom a non- showing OES but growing it out once is much easier. It does take some patience until it grows out. Okay, it takes a LOT of patience! :-)
If you like a topknot, I guarantee you'll regret that you cut her hair.

But...
I am forever putting up topknots on Panda and Bumble!! If I let their head hair grow longer, I imagine it would stay up better but then it's way out of proportion with their bodies that I keep short. Kobuck is forever pulling the elastics out of Bumble's hair so he ends up running around unable to see. I have to stop play, put the hair up again and send him back into action. Two dogs wrestling around for an hour... you get the idea... it needs to be done a few times anyway.

Trimming does take a few minutes but I do this with the others in the pack. I'm not too picky so I just comb the hair forward, make a few straight cuts and use the thinning scissors on it to soften the edges a bit. I then use a short pair of scissors from PetEdge- http://www.petedge.com/product/Top-Perf ... /51353.uts to trim the hair near the inside corners of the eyes. Sometimes the thinning scissors to soften it a bit again and that's it. As it grows out and starts obstructing their view, I do it again.
