Mady represented!

We were contacted by some people who live nearby who are interested in getting an OES. They are a lovely young couple and have obviously done much research, but wanted to see the real thing up close and personal, so we had a play date with them. The woman had the most experience with dogs, but I think that the man was fairly new to dogs. The woman was smitten within the first 30 seconds. It was SOOOOO fun to watch the man, over the course of the hour or so visit, become completely smitten with sheepies. He ran around the back yard with Mady, then we went to the dog park and they got to see Mady in action, wrestling around with her dog park friends, running at full speed across the park. Is there anything more beautiful than a sheepie in a long coat running across a field?

Please please pray to the sheepie gods that they go ahead and get one. We could get to puppysit!! To get to watch another sheepie puppy grow up would be so much fun. And then we could bring Auntie Dawn over for a small sheepiepaloosa here in Ottawa. Mady represented the breed well, the breeder well, and David and I too. I was so proud of her.

Exactly!!

I do worry a bit, though, that if I spend time with this pup, AND spend time with Amber's puppies in October, that I might not be able to squash down the urge to get another. Or maybe it will work the other way, that I remember how much work a puppy is and get over that broody feeling?
