Think of all the people that NEVER even have a dog that they can take into the ring! And the fun & joy they are missing out on. CONGRATULATIONS & ROCHESTER.....HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!! |

Dawn...I will be taking that offer from LeAnne!!!! I know I will be needing a shoulder rub OR a big STIFF drink~~~  and Judi~~Once again, thanks for being my mentor and my 'pusher'.. AH-Em....did you forget something?????I have soo much to do to prepare for my 3rd RE leg!!! Make sure Heart's hair is in place and fluffy!!! Decide on a matching outfit for me and Heart....(just the rubber band until we get out of the ring...THEN!!!!! )))) Plan our Celebration Party of the evening!!! Make sure to put the special TITLE RIBBON..up up and away from the Shurtle, except I secretely suspect that HARRY's Ribbons will be the target for her chompers!!!! She would dare touch her own!!!oh...and last..practice???? from today until 9/17..... iknowiknow...i'm counting by ribbons before they are hatched~~~  |
| Ohmigid, you are too funny!!!!!!!! And CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!  I was reading along wondering when you were going to get to the PRACTICE part Your priorities are duly noted.  Actually, dressing nicely and in harmony with your dog gives off an aura of 'professionalism" and suggests that you care deeply about the impression you and your dog make and finally, that you respect the judge and the sport. I obsessed long and hard to come up with the following for Belle (and anyone who knows me knows I don't obsess long and hard over ANYTHING I wear under normal circumstances ): This level of careful planning 'could' CONCEIVABLE lead SOME judges to give you the benefit of some doubt if your dog nonethless decides to behave like she barely knows her own name... or your ten year old dog decides to jump all over you  Or rip off your armband!  Truly. Ripped it right off my arm.  We still got the highest score of the day. (OK, so it was in veterans and didn't count, but... ) You can bet you bootie I am SERIOUSLY obsessing over what to wear when I take Sybil in the obedience and rally rings next month!!!  ("Oh, they look so routined, dog must simply be having a bad day? ) Sure. Whatever.   Kristine |
| We need to talk!!!! Kristine!!! I am thinking light gray, soft, fluffy sweater and white pants (IF Heart is clean.) or OFF white pants (If Heart needs to be cleaned).. I just MAY let my hair go aunatural.. ..so I can 'finish' my look~~~ Then no one will be able to tell where I end and Heart begins!!! And maybe,,,,just maybe.....the judge will be sooo 'taken' with us, we will Q on LOOKS and COORDINATION alone!!!!!! |

Gail- I can answer that and I hope you come and bring Bella too!!! Obedience and rally is on Tuesday September 21st. We're offering herding instinct testing, for anyone who brings their OES and wants to give it a shot. | LOL, too funny. I have been "assessing" my work clothes for suitability, seeing I dress comfy for homecrare nsg...so many could do double duty. Today's outfit I was considering...but now maybe not, as Kristine, Val and I would look like we all have shopped the same store It's my comfy knit white capri/cropped pants, and a soft grey pullover short sleeved hoodie top. It's a smooth dressy material, with a V neck......but now maybe I WON'T be packing it for show.....maybe for one of the 4 days of DRIVING!!! |
| Ha ha - you silly people. I am dressing for comfort and par for the course may not even comb my hair. My situation is a little easier because When I am in the ring with Harry no one even notices me ............... including Harry! .............Patience trying animal!For now I am assessing my t-shirt situation (coordinating hoodie if necessary due to temperature) and if possible coordinating shoes! |

The boys will tell you that I get a real high out of packing and organizing the car for a trip. Tim is not usually so amused but he has had to endure my luggage packing "skills" a whole lot more. It is always my goal to take the least amount of bags possible. I will find a way to coordinate my shoes and still fit them with all of my belongings into one bag. Harry gets exactly one bag - that holds all of his paraphernalia including food, bandanas, raincoats, etc. The only exception will be his grooming bag. Do you want to see Val have a stroke? That is the reaction she will have when I tell her half way to Rochester that I left the "bling bag" on the curb in St. Louis. She would be less upset if I told her I left her clothes or Heart's food on the curb. |

| hey mim!!! Heart will be more that happy to update the forum on the sheepie's point of view!! I am trying to 'rent' a laptop from one of my 'kids' !!  And Judi...a FEW comments on your awful post about your perfect packing and Heart's BLING!!!!! PERFECT PACKING...... Yes, people, Judi CAN pack a car within an inch, literally, of a perfect fit!!! I have learned!!! I take my stuff OUT of my car...and STAND BACK!!!! Don't EVEN try to help!!! Just GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!! I swear I see her nose twitching ( as in Samantha, Bewitched) as she quickly moves, stacks, positions, rearranges, opens,closes, doors...etc..... When the dust clears, all is perfectly packed (and I mean PACKED) in the car. She then positions the dogs, in their seat belts, and the finally MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! I think she should write a book...PACKING FOR PUTZES!!! I am sure it would make the Number 1 best seller list in no time!!!!! BLING!!!!! AS far as the BLING???? I have NO qualms about highjacking the car, and driving back to the Lou for our precious BLING TOTE~~ and of course I would HAVE take Harry with me...Heart would not travel without her COMPANION!! so,,,,friend...i would think twice about leaving our bling!!!!!!  |
