Have you guys seen him? Eighteen pounds. I'm not sure what I think, other than he is adorable....

Look at that crazy hair! He should have a punk rock name!!
OK he's freaking adorable. I would so fail at fostering him, thank heavens he's in TN and I cannot possibly add another dog to my life!

I always get a bit defensive when the "no kids" reason is that he has high herding instinct...my kids have been herded by more sheepdogs (who weigh 5x as much as this little punk! ) for their entire lives - it's a fun game and kids who've been raised with them know how to deal with it, and the dog knows how to deal with them!

Now I realize if someone didn't KNOW that or have kids amenable to that, then that's different. But unless he's aggressive toward kids, the rescue really should look at the entire individual family and not rule it out because there are kids. Kids are just what Ringo needs, IMO!
Lots of people are basically just ignorant and they see black and white or grey and white or even just furry and say whatever breed comes to mind. They have no clue. There's no oes in that dog. LOL It's cute, but it's just a terrier mix....

I'll concede to the adorable. But I do know what to think about the claim of him being part OES. Not a chance!

It does make the point that dogs of any breed(s) can and will chase kids due to prey drive. Herding instinct is something else. ;-)

He may well have some jack russel in him and he probably would make an excellent agility prospect (code word for: this dog needs a job!!!) He looks tough enough to live with OES. Any agility minded people out there looking for a small dog?

If I could see the tail I would say he is tibetan terrier from the face and coloring.

I thought TT maybe crossed with a Jack Russel or some other terrier.
Yeah... definitely clueless on guessing breeds

That dog is ADORABLE though!!!
OMG he is just too cute One day I want a mixed ,shaggy dog just like him (but I think I would want a her) He is in foster and will probably be snapped up. Having children and herding breeds are no biggie I brought my babies home with a herding breed!! OES of course and had other herding breeds when they were little. You just need some common sense.
You know nearly all my sheepies over the years have herded my shoes. One by one they'll often start taking them out of the hall closet (it's doorless) and drop them by my feet beside me in whatever room I'm in. It's never been constant, but once a month or so apparently my shoes become lonely and need to be with me. Hudson was the only one who would take them from the closet and actually chew them.

Perhaps in addition to saying herding breeds cannot be with small children they should also add a warning that people who wear shoes need not apply as well. 8O 8O 8O

I'm trying to imaging the mating........ 8O
i'd have to say "not hyper" rules out jack russell.
susan, just stop that, right now.
McCartney does need a RIngo! And TN isn't too far from IN.

Unfortunately, I don't think we can take on another dog right now. I'm sure the right Ringo will come around some day for McCartney.
McCartney and Ringo......that just leaves 2 more.......
