Hank's first ponytail/top knot

So Hank's hair is starting to be in his eyes, so after getting brushed, I put it up for the first time...

Hea was not a fan at first.

Then he realized he could actually see...

Then he decided it was okay after all...

It only took about 5 min for him to go stick his head in-between the couch cushions and pull out the elastic...

How do I get him to keep it in?

Yeah, we're at this stage too! We definitely need to start putting Mady's hair up. Let me know what works for you.
I'd say they get used to them, but Yuki does that (head in couch and rubs) after I put them in every time. You just have to learn how to put them in tighter ...and use multiple ones for that one ponytail. Or... just put them in once every day ;) You also have to have good rubber bands.

He looks cute ...I esp. like looking into his eyes in the first pic.
I can only tell you my experience with top knots...
Heart never had a problem keeping hers in...
Pearl, on the other hand, never had a problem getting hers out (((very quickly..I might add))

..I finally gave up on Pearl

The only good thing about it is, when we go on a therapy visit, every knows which sheepie is which....

Heart has her Hair in a topKNOT
...

......Pearl does NOT......

ps...I love Hanks warm brown eyes!!!! WOW!!!!
He has the most beautiful eyes.

Tiggy rubs her topknots out in the couch cushions. I put the hair band on tight but I loosen off the topknot hair because I've noticed she hates the feeling of a tight topknot pulling at her forehead. It helps but I have to put the topknot in at least twice a day to keep it so she can see a little bit.
That is very cute! :D :D

Chewie mostly leaves his in. The only time he rubs it is if it's new and too tight. If I check and loosen it right away, he never touches it.
Otherwise he sits in front of me to have it done - he likes to see!

We're in a growing out phase too - and have to redo it more. I can't wait until it's long again. I used to do it once every 24 hours when he had long hair.....so nice!
