Darby in PA

There is an Oes on Petfinder, listed as adult female but referred to as he.
Darby was found as a stray and looks very sad. I know there are several people here looking for dogs and he/she looks pretty nice.

I cannot get the link to work. If you want to see Darby you can go through Uncle Pete's post under "a rescue is for me". Darby is #6 on the list.(Thanks Uncle Pete)

Uncle Pete :D
Darby will be at the Philadelphia picnic!!
Did he get adopted? :D if yes.... :( if no.
Nope, the rescue people who are fostering are bringing him.
Maybe he'll go home with you Mandy :D
We already visited with him and Carl is way too much dog for the tiny Darby. :(
We're hoping he finds a forever home but he is doing very well with his great foster parents!
Mmmm, maybe Uncle Pete would be interested.
Hey Uncle Pete, you out there?

PM me if you're interested. I can send you pics and give you the low down on the Darby. He's actually very cool! 8)
Hi.

Not that I don't want to but I just spent over a week trying to arrange transportation for Winston that I adopted on Petfinfer from Philadelphia but it was such a hassel trying to arrange all this with the airlines and the only help that I could get in a relay was from Jil willing to take him to Detroit where I could go and pick him up. I was then told by the people at the rescue shelter he was in that it would be too long of a drive for him and that I should look in my own area to adopt which is what I'll do from now.

Uncle Pete
Here's what I don't get...why would a rescue org let someone adopt a dog(knowing in advance where that person lives) and then say it's too far of a drive :?: This is a disservice to both the adoptive family and the dog.

Uncle Pete, I'm very sorry this happened to you.
I'm so sorry you had to go through that Pete, it must have been heartbreaking to get your hopes up and make all the arrangements and then be told that.
I hope you find an oes to join your family soon. You are near Ottawa right? I'll keep my ears open for you.
Darby has been adopted!!!!!!! I've asked if his forever home would post some more info, they seem like a great home for him.
:clappurple: :D
Ahhh that's wonderful!!! Yeah love to hear of another one saved!

Keep up the good work everyone!
