How my ride home went

Friday we had alot of storms in the area. The worst always seem to hit on the ride home from work. So I leave work and it's barely sprinkling. I live about 20 minutes from work, so about half way home I am driving into the storm. The wind was blowing so hard that the rain was going side ways. Almost like driving in a snow storm. As I'm driving along there are trees and branches falling all around me.I came up to a fallen tree top and clipped it. I just didn't see it because of the blowing rain. Cars are pulling into driveways and off of the side of the road. I knew where I was headed for safety, I have always been told never to pull off of the side of the road that it's far too dangerous. So I finally get to the road side park, and pull in. The wind was blowing so hard that the vehicle a large SUV was rocking side to side. I waited about 5 minutes collected myself and continued on. I just wanted to get home to my Frankie. There were 2 trees down on my road but I was able to squeeze past them on the shoulder. I walk into the house and Frankie was sound asleep on the couch not having any idea what was going on. :roll:

We just got our power back up late last night but all is well. Will post pics of hot Frankie when approved.

I'm glad you made it home safely and to find Franky fast a sleep. I'm sure it made you feel good that Franky was A-ok. These storm can really take it out of you.

Sometimes the way to avoid worry is to fall asleep.

That is so scary--driving in those storms!! Glad you returned home safe and sound and that Frankie was not afraid!
