My choc/chip cookiies spread

I do have a good tasty one BUT they spread way to much.

what do do I do, with out changing the ingred. to much...

When ever I make choc chip cookies and take them to work everyone wants to know what I do. Mine never flatten out thin.
I've always been told to either add a little more flour, when the batter is really soft the tend to really spread. Or add a little rolled oats to the batter. I also use a baking stone, which is why I always say the don't flatten out.

After you mix your batter ...put it in the fridge for at least an hour ..if not a little more.

That and don't overmix.
It makes a big difference if you use butter or margarine.
