Design a desk for me!

We bought Mady a car (still a bit confused as to how I got talked into some kind of turbo car thingy, something about Mady having a need for speed), toys, crate etc. etc. and now I want to buy her a new computer desk. Since she is, of course, a velcro dog, she insists on sitting on my feet when I am at the computer. This means that either she is crumpled up into a tiny space, or (and this is the more likely scenario) I am sitting two feet from the keyboard with my arms stretched out. I swear my arms are longer now.

Since my first time on this forum, I have learned that you people (for Star Trek fans out there, I think of you all as rather Borg-like with your large collective sheepie brain) can solve any problem (you found a home for a blind baby goat 8O ). So I am asking for advice on a sheepie-friendly computer desk! Go forth and find me said desk!

Haha, I have no idea. How about making your desk a couch. Then there would be plenty of room.
I feel your pain. I bought our computer desk at an auction. It wasn't long before I got a dog bed that fits under it....I think I spent more on the bed than the desk! :D

Not really a great picture, but the best one I have uploaded..

Skip the desk and get a wireless laptop.
Then you can both be comfortable everywhere in the house.
I use a laptop, but still need an office at home, so I bought a used dining room table and chairs off Craigslist. I used the table as my desk, which works out great because it gives me a lot of "work space" and I have the four chairs as office chairs. As most here know I have 3 dogs 2 Aussies and Violet my OES so need a lot of room for the girls to lay near me or at my feet. So there is plenty of room for them under my "desk" (table). It is not unusual to find two of them under the table at one time stretched out and comfy.

We had alos bought a Mini Van to haul the dogs around, all my kids are grown. lol

Hee, hee, couldnt have said it better myself!
I had the same thought as Helen.

Get a table that is open on the sides and I would put it out from the wall a ways unless its a huge dining table so there's plenty of space under there. You need plenty of room for the new dog bed that you will inevitably buy next.

PS At the first mention of the Borg, I thought you wanted new, improved, longer cybo arms.
A table is a terrific idea-I can pick one up much more cheaply than a desk-thanks! Next problem to solve-how can I make my bathroom door close fast enough that I can 'powder my nose' without supervision!!
I use my table for the laptop - but still need the computer desk for the desktop, router, printer and a bunch of my papers. Keeps the dogs guessing where I'll be!

I retired my desk top computer. I have two tall bookshelves and one small bookshelf that I keep my papers on. The printer is kept on a shelf of the bookshelves (which keeps it out of the way) and I have wicker baskets to keep my papers in, besides pocket folders ect. My Fax machine is also kept on the top of the two shelf shelving unit. The Router is kept in another room. :) All has worked out really well for a doggy friendly office.

That does sound nice :D

As you can see in my picture, I don't have room for a table :( It's also my grooming area and the grandkids playroom.

I need to keep the desktop for Todd, as I take the laptop to work (like now!). He just dabbles - plays games and files his unemployment....my computer illiterate husband! 8)

My hubby sounds like your hubby, but he does have a laptop as well (not as many programs as mine has), but all the" important things" are done on my computer.
(and this is the more likely scenario) I am sitting two feet from the keyboard with my arms stretched out. I swear my arms are longer now.

I KNOW THIS POSITION! :D :D :D
