Coat changes...

Hi, I have just got an old english sheepdog cross german sheperd. He is amazingly cute and soo clever!
Anyway when i got him he was mostly black but now his legs and his ears are getting very grey.
I just wondered at wheat age oes do get their full grey / silver coats? I know hes a cross so could look like anything!

Thank you very much and il add a pic soon x

Asterisk began some of her grey changes very young. The first thing I noticed was on her back legs at her ankles were a very light silver. By the time she was 9 months she was mostly grey with the black puppy coat on the tips. I'd say your dog (depending on how much OES his hair has in it) could go completely grey or just partially grey. It's hard to say with a cross how much he'll get.
OK....emma21.....I just took a peek at your pictures...and he is a REAL CUTIE!!!!!!

I'm in LOVE!!!!!!!!! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :aww: :aww: :aww: :aww: :aww:
He is soooooo cute!

You're right, there's no telling how he'll color up as a cross. Even both my full OES boys are very different colors of gray and changed at different times. I hope you stay around and we get to see lots more pics. I can't wait to see how he grows up!
Thank you! He is a rather handsome puppy :D his dad was a pedigree old english and thats who he most looks like but is just alot more black. But hes already tried herding my grown up dog about

But i intend to stay, did anyone know of any other crosses? As id like to see how they turned out.

However, the question with Murphy is whos ears will he get?! Dads floppy or mums pointy?? Wait and see hey should be ummm interesting... :D

But thank you i love old english sheepdogs x
McCartney is an OES cross! There is actually a poll about what cross do you think he is
